  1. eight bits ****-Wall Entry at 01-01-2017 09:44 AM

i took a small break this weekend and put up a few new 8 bit scores and a few records. always fun to hit the old computers every so often. i received pinball for the coco in the mail on friday but it needed 2 joysticks to play so once i had that out why not bring out some others that i had collected a few games for. oh and now that im posting i see i have completely not setup the jaguar and played those new games. maybe thats going to happen right now.

happy new year everyone and a huge thank you for all who have watched my submissions and who have voted. i greatly appreciate all of you taking the time to judge my submissions, give your opinions and help me improve on what i can.

  2. Jaguar - Checkered Flag in the queue 12-11-2016 12:47 AM

Received a new copy of this racer I have never played before. It will be interesting to compare this to the sega virtua racing series which looks very similar from what I've seen of internet pictures. I'm getting snowed in for a few days so there should be enough time to get the machine out and setup for a go at this.

  3. See an asteroids ship everyday at work 12-10-2016 11:46 PM

I'm sure the elevator buttons predate the asteroids ship design.

  4. Road Rash and ps1 discs 11-19-2016 11:39 PM

I had a good run on the ps1 road rash late Friday nite and at the end I pressed X to advance to the winner banner then to the results screen and the machine hung. Uhhhh. This has happened several times with the ps1 and it never boots or plays through a game on the ps2 or ps3 so I have to look for another copy.

This is the 3rd disc for the ps1 that looks great but crashes or hangs. SF Rush and Ridge Racer discs also have the same problem. I am going to get them resurfaced this coming week and see how that works out. i almost tossed them but a local shop has a machine to resurface so I might as well try to salvage them.

  5. Need for speed Hot pursuit 2. GC and Xbox confusion. 11-13-2016 04:33 AM

I finally sat down and went over the tracks for Need for speed - Hot pursuit 2 for the Game Cube and Xbox. I have tried to play them (XBOX and GC) every other year or so and they never match up to the TG tracks to submit to and eventually I give up and shelve them.
According to a walk through FAQ of the Xbox and Game Cube versions they are completely different than the PS/2 version of this game. I read through the championship mode tracks and they are indeed nothing like what is in the TG database for the Xbox and Game Cube. I read another walk through FAQ for the PS/2 version and it does exactly match the PS/2 TG tracks. The Game Cube and Xbox TG tracks are an exact copy of the TG PS/2 version which explains why I've been confused for years when I've tried to play and submit for these. I never had the PS/2 version so it never made any sense what these tracks were for. So now what this boils down to is we have 2 games for the Xbox and Game Cube that are completely wrong. Which also explains why there are no submissions for them and there are for the PS/2 version. ...
