Today Crazy Taxi is free on Xbox Live for Gold Subscribers
Was playing a game of Crazy Taxi tonight to try and figure out an approach to pickup all 245 customers and I accidentally broke the game? Did something so that the camera freaked out and I had to restart.
Got a new personal best with 207 customers
Don't know why Twin Galaxies insists of this picture being laid down ...
Anyway, I played back the tapes and noted everytime I picked up a customer. On the left I put the number of customers at each location.
The total amount of customers
Made a video of me achieving the highest rank in Crazy Taxi, Crazy Rank.
I played on default settings which is 50 second start timer, time difficulty 4 and traffic difficulty 4
Playcount is now 19 hours. Had a 2 hour game tonight on Crazy Taxi and got a new PB.
$76.518,33 and 190 customers
I didn't record this run so I can't check the tapes so the following is pulled from memory from the top of my head.
Crazy Taxi routing is quite the puzzle and it's hard to even know where to begin to unravel that mess.
I decided to just list how many customers that are at each location and how many drop offs I have at each location according to my spreadsheet.
Now, keep in mind that the
Got done sorting the locations in Crazy Taxi with the preferred pickup color, how many of that color and where they want to go.
Step 1 complete. Now, in Step 2, I "just" have to string the whole mess together in an optimal route to pick up everybody. My head already hurts...
I've been doing some shorter games, in the hunt for a crazy rank, on default difficulty. Not easy. But tonight I finally got it. Now back to that giant puzzle that is the Crazy Taxi Route!...
Playtime Counter is currently at 18 hours
Have the fundamentals down except a few locations that requires customer color pattern recognition which is hard to memorize multiple locations at a time.
On this particular run I only had a few backwards fares so I'm pretty confident with both the map and the customer colors. I still need
Even though the top 30 times on the online leaderboards for Crazy Taxi on Xbox Live Arcade are obviously hacked (30th is plausible) it feels damn good to get into top 100.
I unlocked an avatar item yesterday for playing the game for 10 hours, so
Average game lasts about 1.5 hours now :o I memorized the map so next step is to make some kind of sense about the customers!?
In this run I had emptied eveything from the park to the police station. Had to drive around alot at the end to find more passengers.
Played the arcade machines last weekend and kind of got the itch. Played it a bunch and did a new PB today. I don't use any strategy or route, except for the first 4 customers, and only rely on my skills and Crazy Taxi techniques.
I just noticed that there might be a problem with the subtracks?
I created the track for Dungeons and Dragons: Chronicles of Mystara on the Xbox Live Arcade Platform. I created 2 subtracks:
Dungeons and Dragons: Tower of Doom
Dungeons and Dragons: Shadow over Mystara
Found this while being lazy on the couch. Pretty hilarious.
For the 2nd time //www.rolling-start.com is having a vote for the top 5 racing games of all time.
My picks for this years vote are:
#1 - Out Run
#2 - Outrun 2006 Coast 2 Coast
#3 - Daytona USA
My favorites on Steam
I like racing games and I like competition. I recently got myself an Xbox One S and shortly after the newly released Forza Motorsport 7.
I like to time attack and my favorite track, and to most people the most challenging track, The Nurburgring Nordschleife. This track has a lot of history
