• 76 hour Just Dance World Record to Fight Childhood Obesity!

    Hi my name is Carrie Swidecki and on July 11-14, 2014 I Just Dance 76 hours 4 minutes 52 seconds at Otto's Video Games in More in Bakersfield, CA to fight childhood obesity. I set the Guinness Book of World Records for both the Longest Marathon on a Motion-Sensing Dance Game and Longest Marathon on a Dance/Rhythm Game. I dedicate every world record to bringing awareness to using Exergaming in the schools to fight childhood obesity and inspire adults to get fit. It's insane! I never want to wake up from this dream! It seems like yesterday I was 210 pounds, plus size 18-20, and chasing my dream of 3rd place in a local Dance Dance Revolution tournament. I've been chasing that dream for 14 years that I never slowed down to realize I've exceeded my own expectations. Gaming is very personal for me, it changed my life. While chasing that dream I lost 75 pounds, went down 10 sizes, became an advocate to fight childhood obesity, and a 7 time Guinness World Record Holder. I feel like I'm living in a modern day fairy tale where dance video games are the theme, but best of all it's my fairy tale!! Thank you everyone!

      When you have passion for what you do, you can achieve anything in the world. I also have 90 amazing friends who stood by my side for this 76 hour World Record. Thank you!
