Do you have some score records in the Twin Galaxies World Record Database?

Do you have a VERIFIED user account on the Twin Galaxies website?

If so...

NOW YOU CAN LINK THEM! YAY!

Here is how to do it:

1.) At the top of the website page in the upper right area, click your name and reveal the drop-down menu. In that menu, click the link called "general settings"

2.) Once you are on the settings page, on the left-hand side please look for the "Claim UserName" option and click it.

3.) You will then be presented with the option to Claim your database EntryName. Click it and you are done!

When you have successfully claimed your database EntryName, your posting profile will include your record count and directly link to all your records in the Twin Galaxies database! It will look like this:

Linking your TG account to your TG database records will not only allow you to prominently show a summary of your record achievements on your posting profile, but it will also allow you participate in future TG website features for player recognition (certificates, etc.)

Linking your TG account is optional of course!

IMPORTANT INFORMATION - PLEASE READ THIS CLOSELY!!!
- You must be a VERIFIED user to link your TG website account to your TG database records. (Click here to learn how to get VERIFIED)
- Your FULL NAME in your profile must match your DATABASE ENTRY NAME EXACTLY.
- Once a name is claimed, no one else can claim it.
- It is one VERIFIED TG account per TG database name only.
- Records involving teams (where there is more than one name listed) can not currently be claimed.
SPECIAL NOTE: Any user that deliberately attempts to claim a name that is not theirs, will be banned from TG for a minimum of 1 year. Additionally, any standing record that bears that user's name in the database will have their name hidden (the record entry will stay, but their name will be obscured) for the 1 year that they are banned.

As you know, Twin Galaxies takes the score database and proper recognition of players very seriously and this is a first baby step in implementing some of the cursory systems surrounding score submission and adjudication. Out of necessity, any form of deliberate abuse of this recognition system must be met with a heavy hand.

Now please feel free to claim your name! :)

Mike I think it's because your full name on your profile is 'Michael John Girard' but in the database it is simply Michael Girard. I assume if you drop the middle name from your profile it will probably sync up?

I tried to claim my name but it did not work for me, either. I tried to add my middle initial to my account but I wound up un-verifying myself. Maybe its because my name is listed twice (I only created one, the others were created by someone who was unaware of my original account).

Your claim is not working because you are in the database twice and one of the entries has no scores associated with it - and it happens to be the first name that the system finds that matches.

Yes your name does not match. You do not have a middle initial in the database.

To change your name, go to "settings" (top right on web page) and then "edit profile" - scroll down and you can change your profile name to match properly.

I've changed my name in the settings to Eric Cummings and now when I try to claim my username it says I must be verified, but I'm already verified. What do I do next because there's no option to get re-verified.
