For those unaware, the 22nd level of Donkey Kong is colloquially known as the kill screen due to an error in the game's programming that automatically kills Mario after a few seconds, effectively ending the game and making it impossible to proceed further.
After achieving this great feat, Mr. Staal posted this below image to his Facebook wall with a message flatly stating,
"Omg my First Kill Screen. Lit. Im so Happy right now. Billy Mitchell loved it."
Many friends and supporters expressed genuine congratulatory thoughts and celebrated this personal milestone with Mr. Staal. One supporter had this to say:
Congrats, no one in the history of this game deserves the killscreen more than you. You literally put a lot of blood, sweat, and tears into this game. It is the ultimate never give up story. You had doubters, and even a lot of razzing, but you pushed through with the ultimate heart of a champion. This was much more exciting to see than some random 1.1 million point game. Also that 500k first man was no fluke. You literally played out of your mind, and it was fantastic to see. Big, big ups for all that you did.
