Twin Galaxies Competitor Spotlight
feat. Ryan Genno
This week Twin Galaxies shines the spotlight on Ryan Genno.
Ryan currently holds 83 records Twin Galaxies records on platforms like Atari 2600 and Turbografx-16.
To learn more about Ryan, Twin Galaxies reached out to him and this was he said...
First off thanks to everyone that gave me congratulations or refereed my videos regarding my world records, it means a lot to this geeky middle aged man living in Rama, Ontario, Canada. Like many players here on Twin Galaxies I was playing video games since I could talk, my parents were not the richest around so when we got a new game my family played the heck out of it but I had a special appreciation of these cartridges because they took me to a new world of sights, sounds and challenge plus not to mention watching TV kinda sucked back then too.
I continued playing games from the Atari 2600 and NES eras but things get a little weird when me and my brother got the Turbografx-16 for Christmas of 1989. Although the system enjoys cult status today, the Turbografx-16 was definitely the black sheep of the 16-bit generation and we hardly knew anyone else that had one. Many gave up on the system and their games especially with the popular Super Nintendo and Sega Genesis around, I on the other hand still loved it and I wanted to find and discover each of the official 94 card and 36 CD titles released and give them a good home. To this day I have a game collection worth thousands but never sold them.
Call me crazy but to me I love these games just too much and that's why you can see me load up the real titles on a real console before a high score or fastest time run. So far I have records in titles like Air Zonk, Bonk's Adventure, Raiden, Duck Tales 2, Galaxy Force, The Legendary Axe, the very rare Magical Chase and so far I'm the only one in the world to have a world record in Keith Courage in Alpha Zones since the game is insanely difficult to beat with no continues.
If you wish to learn more about me I go under the name Starsoldier1 and AirZonkWorldChamp on Youtube or facebook. Thanks to Twin Galaxies for letting me post my videos here, I look forward to the future.
