• IGBY2 Message From Organizers

Hello all members of Team Twin Galaxies.

Wolf and I are thrilled at the participation by Team TG, and are looking forward to working with TG in many future events to come. There are some things I'd like to clear up here as we move forward with IGBY2.
    Browser and submission issues.
I am very aware of issues some users are experiencing with both viewing the tournament.vg site and submitting scores. The problem has been identified and a fix is incoming, however I will not have time to deliver this fix before the end of IGBY2 due to some events ongoing in my personal life.

For the time being, if you are experiencing problems, please use Google Chrome and they should go away.

    Minimum submission evidence.
IGBY2 rules dictate that scores should provide at least a screenshot as minimum evidence. Without a screenshot, it is impossible to validate your score.

I realize this might be a user experience issue, as the word "OPTIONAL" is above the evidence section of the submission form. I am currently working on code that forces as least one form of evidence per each submission.

TG is the pinnacle of community-adjudicated scores, and I hope this community can set an example to others in terms of quality of submissions. At the present time, over 900 points of TG team score is in submissions that have no evidence whatsoever. These scores can be resubmitted with a bare minimum screenshot evidence, or we, the organizers, will be forced to remove them.

    Moving forward.
We will continue to monitor the site closely for any issues that might crop up. This is first event we have ever run with over 100 players, and it is already looking like IGBY2 might shape up to be the most competed in online CAG/MAME tournament of all-time, in large part due to the activity of Team TG.

Our sincerest thanks for your participation. Keep your eyes peeled for future updates / status reports, and best of luck in the competition!

Agh I can't believe some people weren't attaching any evidence to the submissions :(

Yeah, that seems wonky. I have at least been getting (crappy) screenshots from Funspot.
