      Big big big money!!

Only gripe I have is both Centipede and Millipede being listed in the Arcade competition - both great games but too similar for them to both appear in a contest
I'm sure Robert has his reasons though!

What "modern" gaming competition is taking place? To me all the platforms listed for this event are "classic". Would love to see a smash bros, call of duty, CS:GO or a Pokemon tournament. That being said, wish I could attend this event!

      Needs more Track & Field.

About the settings, do they know that?

Almost put in Track & Field... but on a 3 minute timer it didn't make a whole lot of sense.

I posted it to the FB event page and such. People have seen it at least. I think most would somewhat assume hardest difficulty settings for a competition like this.

Looking forward to the event and seeing how things go, a little pinball, arcade and console playing is right up anyone alley. I do have some questions though on how scoring and other issues are going to be handled. The below are for questions on arcade games in particular.

Good selection of games though, nothing that you can have huge wild scoring swings, maybe a bit on the top 3 though. The bottom choices everyone should be able to be within the 80-90% range on most games with some practice.

      1. How are you going to be recording the scores, taking them down. What exactly do you mean by if a bonus is counting down it will be counted. So like in Missile Command, you say "times up" and we step away from the game, the game continues on because you have 6 cities left, lose 3 and then the cycle repeats again. When does the scoring for a game take place and in what order.

      2. How are ties going to be handled, highly unlikely but you never know.

      3. Some of the games, Centipede, Defender, Millipede, you can score 3 times the amount that you can on some of the other games. These 3 games alone you will be = to about half your total score. So either do good on these 3 or you lose the event. Wondering if maybe the scoring should be based on your position of each game and not the total score.
      Cent 58k
      Def 45k
      Mill 50k 150k for these 3
      Ms Pac 26k
      Miss 23k
      DK 23k
      Aster 19k
      Galax 15k
      Frogg 15k
      Gorf 12k 133k for these 7
This is about the max or 90% score for each game.

      4. Wondering if you guys would put a ground switch between the control panel and pc board in each game to control the 3 minute timing to be perfect for everyone, every time.

      5. What if you have 150 + people that want to play and not enough time, how do you guarantee yourself a spot so that you don't travel and get shut out.

      6. What about adding 1 extra attempt or retry on 1 game, kinda like they do in a real decathlon, Javelin, Pole Vault, Triple Jump, it's not really a retry but it is your best of the 3 attempts they give you. It might help in those instances where something just goes so wrong that you don't know what to do. Easiest way to institute this is to give a person 11 entries into the event, they can spend them however they want, even doing 11 entries on 1 single game. It would be the players job to enter once into each game and go from there.

      7. Also need a more detailed set of settings on the machines. Will they for the most part be standard default settings. But more specifically what about Ms Pac, turbo or normal.

      8. More about 6. Are we going to go from game to game to game in a group of ten players or just que up and start at game 1 and move along with everyone else. I'm guessing that it's going to take around 5 minutes per game per player. So starting at 6:00 it will be 6:50 when the first player has finished. Player 100 will be able to start playing their first game at a little after 2:00 AM or so. That's 5 minutes x 100 players = 500 minutes which = 6.3 hours

The team in charge of that did not feel they had enough time to set it up correctly.
