• Pinball Returns to Twin Galaxies with Worldwide Walking Dead Tournament!

Twin Galaxies, in close partnership with the International Flipper Pinball Association (IFPA) has jointly decided to open its all-new adjudication process to the pinball community as an exciting experiment to see if competitive leaderboard pinball can once again take place successfully on the Twin Galaxies scoreboards!

The inaugural pinball game is The Walking Dead from Stern Pinball: (http://www.sternpinball.com/games/the-walking-dead/pro)
and there is a special BOUNTY reward for the player who is able to hold on to the #1 rank spot!!!

Whomever is in the #1 rank position by SCS Day (February 13th, 2016, 6pm CST) will receive $100 cash, a custom TWD trophy, and signed TWD translite.

“We are very excited about this opportunity to work with Twin Galaxies and bring more options into the competitive pinball world,” said Josh Sharpe, President of the IFPA, “we hope that the Twin Galaxies leaderboards can be a fun way to have year round competition in-between our official IFPA events!”

“It is an honor to be working with Josh Sharpe and the Pinball community. It is our fondest wish to be able to bring additional value and recognition to pinball players everywhere and help include them into the overall worldwide perception electronic gaming community that Twin Galaxies fiercely supports," said Head Custodian of Twin Galaxies, Jace Hall.

I seen a 685million, my personal best is 545million 3 ball with extra balls. This past weekend Josh Sharpe has a 520million with no extra balls during the papa tournament. I can't wait to tell a few of my friends about this!

      That's fantastic.

Really excited to be working with the IFPA and having Twin Galaxies more involved in Pinball.

      Let's see how it goes.

I'm convinced that the adjudication process can handle it, but it is ultimately up to the community!

PAPA runs a very professional tournament. I also know programmers who can give me a conclusion on an acceptable or rejected scores. I will be involved with pinball not only as a participant but an adjudicator. If you talk to Josh, ask him about the new Cruisn since his boss is Eugene Jarvis.

Mark, I can't believe you didn't text me and tell me this before I posted here. lol I'm excited to see how this will go down but there are no WD machines near here so I have to sit this one out. My pinball machine should be done by next month so I hope the adjudications go smooth so I can submit an at-home Black Hole score in the future.

I've been silent since the PSI discussion kinda waned my will to submit more scores but pinball will totally bring that hype back. Thank you both, Jace and Josh.

Ha, I figured you would see it soon enough.
The amount of group effort from both TG and the pinball side clearly shows in the professionally organized presentation of this challenge.

Some of the pinhead competitors take their competition to a level of seriousness that doesn't currently exist in anything TG has ever done before, but somehow there retains a strong flow of fun and friendship. That has great potential to take TG to that NEXT level it is ready for.

The person who wins this challenge is going to be amazing in their understandint of how to bend the deep rule set to their will.
And I secretly hope that Lyman Sheets Jr steps up and claims it, especially considering he just got inducted into the Chicago pinball Hall of Fame, is on several trading cards, and represented in past tgis entries.
But in reality I suspect you will see a young guy named Josh Henderson win this challenge.

This is some great news. I haven't had to wait very long because I only joined TG this summer but I've been waiting for things to happen with pinball adjudication! Brandon I'm with you - if the adjudication goes well I'll be stoked as I already have my eye on some tables locally. Yeah!

Commenting for the sake of continuing the conversation on this - I'm in Erie, PA and the closest table to me appears to be at the Primanti Bros in Grove City. I'm calling them today to ensure they still have it and hopefully to discuss with management the possibility of confirming the hardware/software settings.

Squirrel you're from Pittsburgh, right? Any tables down there at any establishments that would be excited and willing to help us out with showing hardware/software settings? Always looking for an easier option than a cold-call but I'm lazy :) Pittsburgh is still close enough for me.

Six weeks left to qualify for the prizes! I believe that's six weeks to get the performance Accepted not to post it as a submission. Any insight on that technicality would be great.

      Yes I am!

I don't know of any pro models around the area, unfortunately. Both Bradish Street Pinball Parlour and Victory Pointe have the LE versions of the table.

LE is good! The contest is accepting all three versions of the table.

Awesome! Then either of those places will do the trick.

If you want to come down and play, I have a pin code for pinbash. I'm sure we could even make a streaming event out of it.

That one guy looks like he can manhandle any pinball with ease. I always wonder how I'll handle nudging when I'm around a physical table myself.
