    Hi Everyone,

    Welcome to MGLXXVIII … the CAG tournament for those who enjoy to be challenged and would like to compete in the video game universe. Please click on the YouTube video in 1080p HD below to learn what it’s all about and the rules …


    Just to clarify some points:

    1. Please send in your game nominations by PM (private message) to me (OOO) by next Thursday (2-June).
    2. Games will then start next Friday (3-June). The games are a mystery and will start and close by the following dates and times …



    3. There are prizes to be given away and you can click on the link to register and play …

    4. Any version of MAME can be used, no inps are required and you can use your cab, RetroUprising or go visit the arcade! Please make a new post for each score submission showing a screenshot with your score and initials.

      Thanks for the invite: I confess I've barely touched MAME in months (apart from adjudications). I keep joining tournaments and then find there's something else which holds my attention away from it. Good intentions but I'm seeing a pattern, so I'll acknowledge up-front: I'm unlikely to participate.

      Good luck with the tournament but my schedule is stacked. IGBY is coming up and I'm also participating in STGT which also starts soon.

      I'm in. The length of this tournament makes it work for me. Not like playing ten games in seven days. IGBY I'm doing as well but hey let's stack 'em up and get better at this whole competitive gaming thing, right?

      So registration at Aussie Arcade is not necessary and we can just upload here? Time may be tight here with IGBY and work but I think maybe it could work. However I think I'll let the rest pick the games

      Nothing more to do other than nominate the 5 games you would like to play (send me a PM) ... and then get ready to play! (You don't need to nominate to play either, just play!)

      For all you great TG members out there, you can post scores on AA or TG, and I will combine the scores on the scoreboard. All I would suggest is that the gaming is more than just posting scores. Enjoy each others friendly banter, tips and wisdom. Heck it's for everyone to enjoy and learn!

      Well work is very important and the IGBY is a lot of fun. This tournament is quite different and has a 10 year history for all types of games and knowledge to be gained.

      There's plenty of time under this format for work, family and play, that's why it's 9 in 9. Plus it's game focus and player focus driven. Once the game closes there's no second chance, meaning every point counts when it matters for a limited time.
