We are pleased to report that we have successfully upgraded the Twin Galaxies notification system as well has improved a number of areas of the site.

Many of these improvements required system-wide changes and re-engineering of things so we apologize for the delay.

With so many things under the hood being affected we do expect some possible bugs to appear - so we would appreciate any related feedback regarding problems. We will try to stomp them out as quickly as possible!

While many notifications are now implemented, there are 3 that are still being worked on that will become available over the next week or so.

We encourage you to explore the changes.

You will notice that on your profile page you will see a new tab called SOCIAL. This will allow you to manage who you follow and who is following you!

Some of you will also notice that the old notification shoutbox has been eliminated. This is because it is no longer required. The new notification system now serves that function.

We are continuing to work on more functionality and systems. Members can look forward to steady improvements over the coming weeks/months.

So far, so good. Navigating around for 20 minutes, I dont see anymore of those miscellaneous old notifications/already adjudicated pop ups.

There should be Thanks/Likes availability on each of your comments in this post, but it looks like they got deactivated somehow.

Ya, that seems to be a problem.

Here's a temporary workaround:
Log out.
Go to www.twingalaxies.com
The help section is on the front page and you can access it...

Also, I just noticed that some notifications are not taking place that should:

For instance, if you comment on this wall post, from that moment on if anyone else comments on the wall post after you, you should get a notification that someone replied. Commenting on wall posts should essentially "subscribe" you to that thread so you can easily keep track of the conversation... We will fix!

I don't know if this goes for all attempted submissions, but I tried to submit on "Phantom 2" for MAME-the score input box isn't there, can't submit.

Site looks great tho! Like moving to a new house and keeping all your old(good)stuff.

I didn't get a notification that someone commented on a submission of mine... not sure if that's a known issue or not.

Yes we are working on it now. It should be fixed before the day is over...

Yes the shoutbox has been removed for several reasons. However, there have been a few people who are not pleased with its absence.

We are considering re-activating it.

Sounds very interesting. I like the way is there a difference between for some great news for Twin Galaxies, and some other gaming entertainment news.

I wonder if I should find out when they got some about tournament settings for any Bust-A-Move/Puzzle Bobble games???

Keep on it. I know it's a lot of work. I respect whatever stylistic changes you guys make as long as I'm still able to browse and submit scores. That is still the absolutely most important thing about TG.com to me and it always will be.

Submitted a run yesterday with no problems FYI
