So a friend of mine is in China right now at a video gaming event, and he just sent me this picture!

He said a bunch of people are wearing them!

Now it makes me unhappy that some company in China is creating unauthorized Twin Galaxies clothing, but I can't help but be excited that Twin Galaxies has grown so significantly that Chinese citizens are wearing the logo proudly!

That's just crazy!

I really need to get the TG merchandise stuff sorted out and available. There is just not enough time in the day!!!

It must be bittersweet to see that picture: Free international promotion, yet it's coming from a bootleg t-shirt.

Officially licensed Twin Galaxies gear has the potential for brisk sales.

What you really need to sort out is the "Score Dispute System".

Not only can merchandising wait, those Chinese fellas probably don't even know what they're wearing.

When TG starts getting more world class submissions for Trackmania Turbo, Angry Birds, Stair Dismount, etc, then you can talk about "growing".

Jace you should reach out to Geeky Jerseys. Great company. Work a deal with them and allow them to make and sell a limited run of Twin Galaxies Jerseys.

Buyers can choose name & number number based on whatever they want: game title and year of release, own name and birth year, etc.

Think about it.

Lots of do it yourself print-screeners out there, and that is a basic 3 color print.
From the image though, it looks like a quality job, so probably is a small shop.
Lots of clothes made there, and lots of boot leg silk screening too, so not surprising.

It's just like I tried to tell the software developers back in the day when they were on the witch hunt for software pirates...

Those people would have never bought your product anyway. So, instead of focusing on them and wasting your time and resources on them, your time is better spent on your legit customers, because they are the people who deserve your attention.

No need to tell you though, because you are already finding the positive in a negative thing. While the extra exposure is a good thing, your paying customers will still proudly support you by buying the official TG products.

Oh, they know. They are not stupid, just economically challenged, or can't get a legit one for other reasons. They are supporting TG the best way they can given their means. I can see form the image that this was a gaming event or gathering, so he is representing. (he certainly knows)

Yes, the merchandising is more important than most people would think being revenue and advertising. That is probably something that could be subbed or partnered if you are stretched too thin to handle it yourself. A little bit of something is better than a whole lot of nothing. Set on a limited time frame a partnership could get things rolling now, but be able to return full force to TG when more time is available.

I'd buy that if it was available here

One also need to look at economically viability to have merchandise distributed world-wide if TG wants to produce those themselves. If not then it make sense to allow
legal agreements with various production vendors in many continents/countries on behalf of TG?
