Dear Community

We are pleased to announce the launch of redesigned leaderboard. We have really worked hard to change the flow and design .

We would really appreciate if the community gives us constructive feedback on the changes .We have tested the functionality but there might be a few errors or bugs . Please be assured that we are on standby to resolve any issues or errors.

We have removed the concept of premium/non premium tracks . We only consider the record count on a particular track to make it relevant .

We really hope that the community will like the changes and help us make TG better .

Regards
Rajat Sood

The I got and click on MAME. I would imagine this would bring about the top MAME games according to the sort method selected (Order by DESC + Sort nu Record Co) but it doesn't. Instead it still shows Mario Kart 64 and Gran Turismo 3 on top. I scrolled down in the picture to let you see I chose MAME. Even here it shows games for other platforms.

And the search box doesn't work as intended. See here when I type in Dodonpachi. Yes, it finds all the dodonpachis on various platforms but it repeats them?

multiples of the same games/platforms
Try filtering to one of the systems at the bottom of the list, like Xbox 360 - I think being down further on the page when you select the system is part of the issue.

HI All

The filters are working fine now . Example : I click on MAME the list is filtered to show the top MAME games

I still get a selection of console games starting with Mario Cart, not just mame games.

Cleared cache three times on both the main page and the sort page. Same results.

I click the mame box, the screen resets as if it's pulling data, then I receive a mix of console games.

I take that data and try a DESC sort, and the following screen appears but does not resolve, rather it just sits indicating "load more data."

Hope this helps.

Not working for me either. When I tick the ARCADE box I get Mario cart 64 (first)..and a heap of other console games. I did clear cache.

Intellivision/Intellivision Flashback does the same as MAME, brings up a random list of games.

Also, you can only see the top ten on a leaderboard for individual systems-you click "more", and you don't get more.

Selecting ESI for Atari 2600 brings up what seems like the old PSI rating list.

The old "gamename" URL parameter as part of the share link no longer works...
e.g. instead of https://www.twingalaxies.com/scores.p...#91;version+3]

It seems to have been replaced by "gameid"...
e.g. https://www.twingalaxies.com/game_detail.php?gameid=8906&platformid=46

... which is a more definitive, I guess - the old way would sometimes return multiple results.
But just confirming "gamename" is definitely a thing of the past?

This Accepted submission is missing from the scoreboard

Hi All

The following issues have been resolved

1) ESI is now showing correctly
2) The search returning multiple entries is resolved
3) The filters have been fixed.

Please check and let us know if you are facing any issues

Personally, I liked it the way the score board was before the update. Could have used some tweaks here and there, but it was a relatively good set up. There's so much stuff that's out of place / not showing / messed up...I'm wondering if it's all fixable.

Is it worth fixing? Rolling it back is an option! :)

Hi Rage

The old set up was platform based . In order to grow and transparent we had to change the system to be game based .

The new leadeboard is more flexible and users get more info on the same page itself

All items are fixable in the system . It will be great if you help us wirh exact issues when you say stuff is messed up.

We assure you that we will take all the issues and feedback into consideration and implement

I'm sure it's adjustable. Currently it's not very intuitive. As an example, I typed in Donkey Kong 3, then clicked mame and received four results including three entries that are not mame at all.

If you are going to stick with game name searches as it appears you are, when a platform is clicked after selecting a game name, ONLY tracks for that platform should appear. I could understand these results if multiple platforms are clicked, but in the example above, why show non mame when only mame is being requested?

If for some reason you think that displaying non mame tracks is important despite clicking mame as the sole platform (and this would baffle me), at least list the platform underneath the game name so we don't have to randomly click through results to try and locate a track.

Excellent. I mentioned this a few posts ago, but want to mention it again as it would be a great help. Please add a column for ESI in the viewable database. If there are 40 entries on a board, one could see the ESI earned on each of the 40 positions. From a user point of view, instead of just seeing the top ten shuffled off to the left hand side, a user could now see all ESI for every position on the board.

I don't at all recognize track averaging.

Example: DK has several tracks and all ESI for each track is computed to show an overall skill level for DK. The skill involved in the ATTARCT track is not at all comparable to a DK points track. Combining the ESI on these multiple tracks does not reflect an overall DK skill level. I would never look at DK in this manner as a user, why does it show in this manner on the top ten ESI earners on the left?

Likewise, ZK points and ZK Coconut stage represent two very different games with two very different skill sets. They are not comparable. The ESI earned for two very different tracks should not be averaged and combined. Other than sharing a game name, they are very different games.

Zen Pinball points versus Zen Pinball five minute games are not comparable.

These are just a few examples.

It would be intuitive to expect a listing of Atari 2600 / VCS games in the above example. I certainly would expect it.

However, I don't suspect that is how the new sorting is designed. I think, though someone at TG hopefully will confirm, that TG wants you to type in a game name, then select your console. This doesn't yet function either (as posted one forum entry prior).

Hopefully the bugs will flush out soon.

The second circled needs to read "PlayStation Portable PSN".
