@datagod, the 99.99 isnt an issue. all that means is that after finishing the race, the picture wasnt taken until about a minute and a half later, since player2 never completed the races, player 2's time continued to increase until the maxout.
@MarkSoupial, good question. Also, can we have the source of the photo? Can this be used as proof cheating and ban the person?

Didn't take you for a SJW Jace, or TJW (Todd Justice Warrior)??? Lol, this post is a complete fail of professionalism. Most everyone, even Todd himself would have a bias against photos of a world class performance, and most likely world record, out of nowhere.
Take me away the dispute.
Take away the controversy.
Take away the evidence that a 5.51 and 5.54 are humanly impossible.
Any person that looked at this picture would question its validity if they knew anything about the score history. "The public has never seen a 5.54 and it is an untied second place world record that hasn't been achieved in 30+ years. I wonder if this is legit or not. Why no video? We should probably check this person out."
Like I said Todd himself would be suspicious and want more proof.
Hell, even take away the game. What if someone posted a picture of a 3,333,400 on Pacman. Everyone would say it was bs without proof and replication. I would question any picture of more than just 3 million without further proof and replication from the person claiming the photograph.
Just like Ike everyone else is saying, there is a reason we don't accept photos as proof for adjudication. We must have videos.
tl;dr : Any photo of a world class performance would draw bias against and be questioned on any game, world record or not, from everyone on this site. Even Todd himself would question. Oh and yes, you're not crazy, this thread is a ******** and serves no purpose. Thanks Jace.
@Jace: This is the exact reason, even the die-hards, are getting pissed off at you. Just STOP. Why don't you go make some decisions on all the other clear cut fake scores in dispute right now? Not just Todd's, but other people's false scores are just setting idle in dispute. Stop stirring the pot and clean this **** up. If not I'm out. I know I mean nothing to you and it doesn't matter either way whether I stay or I go, but it's actually a privilege to be a part of this community. So many amazing people and the exception is few. But I've had enough of your childish, immature antics man. If you can't resist the urge to stir the proverbial pot, maybe you should leave communications to someone else and try to run Twin Galaxies from the back. Or keep doing what your doing and run this place into the ground, and fail like every other attempt at running this place before you. Who knows, if you do, I might offer you a couple hundred bucks for the domain and take a shot at it. No transparency and drama will be the demise or our community unless you take the first steps in changing that.
The TV set is curved and the for second half of the run, the car went .03 seconds faster due to gravity pulling the car down the curve. On a flat screen (non-curved), this is a 5.57.
If you really wanted to cheat and look legit in a photo or video without startup, you could load that auto-shift hack that allowed 5:54 onto this cart and put Dragster labels on it, or even just put the Harmony pcb into a legitimate Dragster shell.
I actually spoke to the person in question about that and it is legit!
He only removed the post because people were ridiculing him over
if the cropped photo was real or not. However if you look at his world
records you can clearly see he is a capable gamer, who has proved himself
time and time again. He didn't get that score for you guys, he did it for himself
and hoped his friends would cheer him on as well. It's not very nice to poke fun of
someone who is no longer with us to defend himself. How does that make you feel now?
Do you like picking on people who ride the short bus?
