A Marcade food for thought...

The pending submission queue is larger than ever, as high credibility members have left either temporarily or permanently. Score participation is rising, but adjudication seems to be dropping.

Inflation???

Maybe TG can offer ALL members across the board, say a year end holiday bonus of a 10% or 20% increase in CR!!!

This can help offset the innocent CR hits that members recently ate up, AND possibly help with the secret formula of faster adjudication speed. (more CR weighting)

Just an idea for a gesture of goodwill on their part, for the holiday season! :)

Magically granting CR...isn't that exactly what inflation is?

Hehe, funny proposition Marc! Ah yes, there're certainly more submissions and submitters than there're adjudicators. Some of us have more submission points than we'll ever need, yet continue to adjudicate (these days, I really don't have as much time as before, ever since taking on a second weekday job, and this coming Sunday, I'll even be working the afternoon of the 17th). I've sought to vote on submissions in the limited time I have, but wish I could do more, oh wells.

The bonus factor you suggest is enticing, but as it is, it's wishful thinking. I'm not sure what's in store for next year with TG, but the CR component, I'm most certain things'll be the same. The very last tweak that was implemented was December of 2015 with the 5% penalty for voting opposite of the outcome.

Cheers Marc, and Happy Holidays to you and your family! :)

I have certainly noticed the drop off big time. I don't bump my submissions so they are just stting there gathering dust waiting for a jjtdefender comment or anyone else for that matter. Here's an idea, if you click like or thank on any part of the submission then start posting a reply that says the same thing. This would help keep it alive and bring it to the top for more viewing.

I say submission price needs to go up. Cost more to submit.

I think it may have been said before in a prior thread, but I would love to see an intuitive system that gives either more or less CR based on how big the queue is or charges more or less for submissions based on how big the queue is.

That is a good idea, Blackflag, a weighted system.

To timmel's concern, another solution would be to limit the number of submissions allowed by a player in a day, or limit the number allowed in the queue by an individual player altogether.

I'm oblivious to most of this, TBH, I just sub and vote, ha, these aren't personal opinions of what I think SHOULD happen, just alternate suggestions.

I know I had mentioned such an idea, though I don't think I'm the only one.

If TG is worried about keeping the rate of awarding and use of submission points the same, then once submission costs start going up, they just need to track the "extra" points spent, and then start awarding them out to adjudicators by some method. That would serve as the "bonus" for adjudicating with the bigger queue. Doing it in this manner could be a 1:1 ratio for increased costs and increased rewards, making sure the total number of submission points out there is not affected.

it's weird, because giving more points might encourage more submissions, or it might discourage them since we already have more sub points than we know what to do with. Arguably giving us less points would encourage us to adjudicate even more since we need it more. I'm sure it depends on the individual. For whats its worth, i'm going through one of my phases where i step up adjudication. We can try to come up with ideas to motivate others, or better yet, we can motivate ourselves. We're all in this together, lets put in the effort and help each other out.

I think all those with extra submissions points they don't know what to do with should get with folks to make new tracks for games that aren't in the database for any console. There's so many missing games here it's unreal. That's what I would like to see done anyways.
