Denmark may have created some individual champions in the past, but now they get to crown a whole new set as the European League of Legends Championship Series Finals head to Copenhagen to host the final showdown.

The European League of Legends Championship Series Spring Split Finals will be held in the Royal Arena in Copenhagen Denmark, with the third place match taking place on the 7th of April, and the Grand Final taking place on the 8th of April.

Denmark has previously been the birthplace of individual champions, with players like Søren “Bjergsen” Bjerg, Dennis “Svenskeren” Johnsen, Henrik “Froggen” Hansen, and even famous casters like Martin “Deficio” Lynge. Now, Denmark has the opportunity to crown a whole new set of champions as the EU LCS Spring Champions.

The team that manages to take home the prize will not only be crowned the Kings of Europe, but will also be given an automatic invitation to the 2018 Mid-Season Invitational, where they will be representing Europe against the top teams from the other major regions, such as the North American League Championship Series, League Champions Korea, and the League of Legends Pro League from China.

With playoffs not yet guaranteed for a lot of these teams, the battles are sure to get a lot more intense as teams fight for the chance to represent their region at MSI, not to mention the acclaim that comes from being considered the best in their region.
