Overwatch Contenders is where organizations and players that are not in the Overwatch League go to prove themselves in the world of professional Overwatch.

Montreal Esports is a Canadian esports organization owned by legendary mixed martial artist Geroges St-Pierre. The organization owns the Grizzlys esports team, while also providing talent agency and broadcast services to the esports world. Looking to take advantage of the Overwatch Contenders spot that the Grizzlys purchased from esports organization Rogue, Montreal Esports has revealed the roster for the Grizzlys Overwatch Contenders team on their YouTube channel.

The roster will consist of the following players:

Donald "Dahun" Leigh - Main Support

Martin "Graceful" Wongphrom - Off Tank Flex

Taylor "blam" Forrest - Flex Support

Casper "Pagh" Larsen - Main Tank

Adam "Spirit" Willis - Flex DPS

Nikolaj "Zaprey" Moyes - DPS Hitscan

Kevin "Wonderfuls_OW" Nguyen - Substitute

With a roster of young and talented players, the Grizzlys will be looking to make some noise in Overwatch Contenders and go toe to toe with the Overwatch League academy teams, who will be looking to dominate the developmental league. A strong showing in Contenders will open up the door for these young players to possibly make their way onto the roster of an Overwatch League team in the near future.
