Four teams entered today's semifinal matches with the chance to play in the Rainbow Six Siege Invitational Grand Final tomorrow. Our first match saw Black Dragons take on Penta Sports.

Two of the best teams in the Rainbow Six Siege professional scene met in the first semifinal of the Rainbow Six Siege Invitational looking for a chance to play for the championship in Sunday's grand final. Latin American team Black Dragons looked to knock out the European powerhouse of PENTA Sports. Let us look at how all of the action went down.

Map one of the semifinal was Bank and saw both teams looking to take the first lead of the three game series. PENTA would secure the first round with a well executed double kill from Niclas "Pengu" Mouritzen. The Black Dragons would strike first in round two with João "Kamikaze" Gomes grabbing the first blood for the team. Daniel Mazorra "Goga" Romero would take down multiple Black Dragons to force a one versus one situation, but the Dragons would clutch the round and tie the map at 1-1. Talented support player Goga would continue his strong play with a double kill to help PENTA win round 3 and a take a 2-1 lead. A very calculated attack push by PENTA would prove too much for the Dragons and the European squad would take round 4 and the 3-1 lead. Pengu and Goga continued to lead the way for PENTA in the next round and allowed their team to grab a commanding 4-1 lead. Only needing one more round win to take the first map, PENTA was out for blood in round six, but the Black Dragons would not go down without a fight and would win the round to fend off the map loss. The European powerhouse would not let Black Dragons grab any more momentum to stage a comeback. Fabian "Fabian"  Hällsten's impressive in-game leadership would lead the way for PENTA to shut the Black Dragons down and win round seven. This gave PENTA the map 5-2 map victory and moved them one map win away from advacing to Sunday's grand final match.

Our semifinal would move to Border for map two, and saw Black Dragons with their backs against the wall facing elimination from the invitational. This would lead to the Dragons looking to grab a strong lead to begin map two, and they were able to do so. Black Dragons would not lose a single player in round one to take the 1-0 lead. PENTA would rebound in round two and secure the win to tie the map at 1-1. Round three would be highlighted by an impressive one versus two clutch situation from Gustavo "Psycho" Rigal to give Black Dragons the 2-1 lead. Both teams would trade multiple kills to begin round 4, but ultimately PENTA would win the most gunfights and tie the map at 2-2. Kamikaze would grab a double kill to give Black Dragons the player advantage to begin round five, but Pengu's double kill later in the round would prove to be the difference maker, giving PENTA the round and a 3-2 map lead. Psycho would secure the first blood for his team in the next round, but a well executed attack would give PENTA the win and a 4-2 lead. Once again the Dragons were facing elimination and would not let PENTA finish them off, as the Latin American squad was able to secure the win and decrease PENTA's lead to only one round. The two time Pro League champions would not let the Dragons claw their way back into the match and through multiple clutch gunfights they were able to win round eight and take the map with a score of 5-3.

With the win, PENTA Sports secured a spot in tomorrow's grand final, where they will be waiting to play against the winner of the Evil Geniuses and Rogue semifinal match. The loss eliminated Black Dragons from the Rainbow Six Siege Invitational and has confirmed that Latin America will not be represented in the grand final matchup.
