The Unicorns of Love, famous for their rough and tumble playstyle, are back and better than ever. An unfortunate series of events that led to the Unicorns game record of one victory and eight losses has now started to be rectified, with the Unicorns taking down the Giants in a bloody and exciting match.
Opening with an encounter in the jungle as the Unicorns invade onto Giants, catching three members in an unfortunate position, leading to an early three-to-one lead. Using this newfound confidence, the Unicorns positioned themselves to claim first turret gold, as well as trading the first Dragon for the Rift Herald.
A few more objective trades as the Unicorns and Giants tried to find an opening led to another bloody team fight around the Baron side of the river, with the Unicorns trading three members for three more kills onto the Giants. Fast forward only a couple of minutes and we have another team fight around the Baron pit, as the Unicorns catch out Giants jungler Charly “Djoko” Guillard. Giants, not wanting to let the Unicorns capitalize on such a move for free, quickly wrap around and attack the Unicorns, with Giants to planer Kim “Ruin” Hyeong-min ambushing and almost instantly taking down UoL’s mid laner, Fabian “Exileh” Schubert. With one member down each, both teams engaged in another brutal team fight that ended only when the Unicorns AD Carry Samuel “Samux” Fernández Fort is able to disengage as the sole Unicorn still standing.
The game was certainly close up to this point, but unfortunately for the Giants, this was in fact the beginning of the end. The Unicorns managed to repeatedly catch out members of the Giants while also securing objective after objective, and with four Dragons and a Baron buff under their belt, began to move into the Giants base. It would not be long before the Giants would fall, and the Unicorn faithful would be rewarded once again with an exuberant squad claiming their second victory.
