The latest update for Epic Games' massively popular Battle Royale game, Fortnite, added a new grenade for players to use. The impulse grenade is a blue rarity item that sends out a destructive impulse, which sends affected players flying in the air. Multiple videos of players using the grenade to knock enemies off of cliffs have surfaced online, but the true highlight plays are coming from streamers who have found very creative uses for the new grenade. One of these streamers is NRG Esports' KingRichard, who decided to use the impulse grenade to get his character in prime position to secure the victory.

Facing off against an enemy in a fortress, KingRichard began building his own to get into position to take the fight to his last enemy. The NRG streamer first tried to get into position for a sniper shot, but the constant hail of bullets from the enemy player would not allow for it. Realizing that his best option for victory would be to get into a close quarter battle, KingRichard thought of a genius way to close the distance between himself and his opponent. Equipping his impulse grenade, KingRichard throws it at his character's feet and sends himself flying right towards his opponent. Pulling out his pump shotgun in mid flight, he is able to land a perfect headshot and eliminate his last enemy, thus securing the victory. You can tell from his own excitement, and the reactions he has gotten from the community, that the NRG streamer pulled off one of the best impulse grenade plays in Fortnite. Now fans will be waiting to see what kind of exceptional play the talented player will pull off next.
