While every member of a professional CS:GO team is needed to perform at a high level to achieve victory, AWP players can easily tip the favor of the match towards their team with strong play or hurt their team mightily, if they are not performing well. With these players being such a large component of their teams, organizations look to have the best they can find, when looking for a player to fill that role for their roster. There are many players who have been able to give their teams exceptional performances with the AWP and lead them to multiple championships. Let us take a look at the best AWP players currently competing. 

Tomas "oskar" Stastny

Currently the AWPer for mousesports, oskar has helped mousesports become a consistent threat to any top tier team they meet at an event. Utilizing expert positioning and precision aim, oskar is able secure early picks for his team that gives mousesports an immediate advantage at the beggining of rounds. This is evident by his opening kill ratio of 1.35 and his team winning 74.1% of rounds that he have the first kill in. If oskar gets an opening AWP kill, it is highly likely that mouesports wll be victorious. Having racked up over 7,000 kills with the AWP in his career, oskar has more than enough experience with the weapon to use it as effectively as possible. With oskar having the mian AWP duties on the team, mousesports are always in contention to make a deep run. A 1.21 kill to death ratio, the highest on mousesports by 0.12, oskar leads his team in doing the most damage, while minimizng his deaths.

Gabriel "Fallen" Toledo

Fallen is the current AWPer for SK Gaming and has become a legend in professional CS:GO. Amassing over 7,000 kills with the AWP, Fallen has eliminated his fair share of opponents with the sniper rifle. A 1.44 opening kill ratio shows that Fallen is always in the lead looking to give SK Gaming an early advantage, which is not surprising considering he is also the in-game leader for SK Gaming. This allows him to impact the game in a multitude of ways, as he is able to cut down enemies with the AWP and put his teammates in the best possible positions to succeed. Professional CS:GO has never seen a player who has been talented enough to excel as the main AWP player for their team, while being responsible for leading the rest of the roster. This dual threat ability of Fallen makes him one of the most dangerous AWPers in the game today.

Tyler "Skadoodle" Latham

Skadoodle is the current AWPer for Cloud9 and has always been regarded as one of the most talented snipers in the game. With the ability to win rounds that he has business winning, Skadoodle has become a fan favorite to watch. This was especially evident in Cloud9's run to winning the ELEAGUE Major: Boston, as Skadoodle willed his team throughout the tournament pulling off miraculous rounds to keep his team alive. A clear showing of how important Skadoodle was to his team's success at the Major was his 1.58 opening kill ratio that led to Cloud9 winning 90.2% of the rounds that he had the first kill in.  This incredible play lasted throughout the tournament, as he was able to help lead his team to capturing North America's first Major title. Skadoodle was recognized for his play, as he awarded the U.S. Air Force MVP award for his excellent performance through out the entire Major. Collecting over 8,000 AWP kills in his career, Skadoodle has always been a threat with the weapon, but now he is playing on a level that should have every one of his opponents on high alert.

Ladislav "GuardiaN" Kovács

GuardiaN is the current AWP player for FaZe Clan and has helped propel the team into being one of the very best in the world. Collecting over 12,000 kills with the AWP in his career and having a 1.47 opening kill ratio, GaurdiaN is truly a prolific threat with the sniper rifle. Quick reaction time and incredibly accurate aim causes his opponents to have to game plan around him, making sure he does not tear them apart. This allows GaurdiaN's teammates to play much more freely, as their opponents will always be on the look out for GaurdiaN and his AWP. A 1.23 kill to death ratio, the highest on FaZe Clan, shows that Gaurdian is very efficient in making sure his lives with the AWP are very beneficial to his team. 

Kenny "kennyS" Schrub

The professional CS:GO community has often labled kennyS as the best AWP player in the entire world, and his stats have done nothing but reinforce this idea. A 1.54 opening kill ratio, a 1.25 kill to death ratio and over 12,000 career kills with the AWP show that kennyS has been one of the strongest AWPers that professional CS:GO has ever seen. Known for pulling off ridiculous shots and clutching rounds that look to be unwinnable, kennyS has been able to lead any team he has been a member of to victory in exciting fashion. Ulitizing insanely quick movement speed and exceptional aim, kennyS is able to dominant matches in a ruthless manner.
