Hi my name is Carrie Swidecki and on July 11-14, 2014 I Just Dance 76 hours 4 minutes 52 seconds at Otto's Video Games in More in Bakersfield, CA to fight childhood obesity. I set the Guinness Book of World Records for both the Longest Marathon on a Motion-Sensing Dance Game and Longest Marathon on a Dance/Rhythm Game. I dedicate every world record to bringing awareness to using Exergaming in the schools to fight childhood obesity and inspire adults to get fit. It's insane! I never want to wake up from this dream! It seems like yesterday I was 210 pounds, plus size 18-20, and chasing my dream of 3rd place in a local Dance Dance Revolution tournament. I've been chasing that dream for 14 years that I never slowed down to realize I've exceeded my own expectations. Gaming is very personal for me, it changed my life. While chasing that dream I lost 75 pounds, went down 10 sizes, became an advocate to fight childhood obesity, and a 7 time Guinness World Record Holder. I feel like I'm living in a modern day fairy tale where dance video games are the theme, but best of all it's my fairy tale!! Thank you everyone!

I'm waiting for someone to wake me up from this Dream! 14 years ago I was 210 pounds, plus size 18-20, and living my life in the past until I discovered Exergaming. Since then I've lost 75 pounds, went down 10 sizes, become an advocate to fight childhood obesity in the schools with Exergaming, and a 5 time Guinness World Record Holder! Hi my name is Carrie Swidecki and I'm a 2nd grade teacher from Bakersfield, CA. On July 11-14, 2014 I'll be Just Dancing 72 hours to fight childhood obesity at Otto's Video Games and More in Bakersfield, CA. I'll be setting the Guinness Book of World Records for both the Longest Marathon on a Motion-Sensing Dance Game and Longest Marathon on a Dance/Rhythm Game at the same time by Just Dancing 72 hours on Just Dance 2014 using the Xbox 360 with Kinect. On January 2014 I made history when Guinness World Records made my 49 hours 3 minutes 22 seconds of Just Dancing to fight childhood obesity official by featuring me in the 2014 Guinness Gamer's Edition. I made history by becoming the only person in the world to hold a world record for marathon play on all three major dance games: Just Dance, Dance Central, and Dance Dance Revolution as well as the 1st female to set them after surviving obesity. I won long before I set my 1st World Record, I won when I got my life back after surviving obesity. I dedicate every marathon World Record to fighting childhood obesity and inspiring adults to get fit and all my high score World Records to charities that benefit children. I personally know how important it is to have a strong physical education program in the schools, I used to be obese. This 72 hour World Record will be a fundraiser through Donorschoose.org to get more Exergaming equipment for the Presidential Fitness Program I currently run with the after school program and 100 2nd grade students at my school exclusively using Just Dance to fight childhood obesity. I would love to expand the Presidential Fitness Program to be a school wide program for all 680 students and pilot an Intramural Just Dance lunch program which will coincide with our after school Presidential Fitness Program using Just Dance, but we need more equipment to make this a reality. My greatest accomplishment is merging my passion for Exergaming with my love for Education to fight childhood obesity. Please click link below to help donate toward more Exergaming Equipment. I hope to show that when you find something you love, work hard, then you can achieve anything in this world. Never give up on your dreams and the fight to overcome obesity!
