I own a 720 machine. If I recall my personal best was around 380,000. When I got the machine there was a score on there in the 440's!

I just verified and posted a great 720 score that made 2nd place! The score was 445,800. Looks like these guys are getting ever so much closer to 527,100. Nice job Mike!
Thanks Steve for the comments. I'm sure Jeff will come back fairly soon and top my score. I believe this is what we need to stay focused to ultimately beat the 527k high score. Some good competition will make us all better. I know I have a lot of room for improvement.

Yes, I just verified Jeff's new score and he has taken over 2nd place once more with a score of 452,500. Nice job Jeff!!
Good job Jeff. I would love to get in on this but my problem is that I don't have a machine and haven't seen any around. I'd like to pick one up locally (South Carolina) for obvious reasons of shipping cost and restore it in a manner similar to what Jeff did with his. With my own machine I am certain with practice, getting into the groove, and some strat changes I can hit the 400,000 mark. My high score, years ago, when I played was 398,XXX. Anyone have any suggestions?
What part of SC do you live in?Quote:

Wow! I'm right here in Charleston. I have a work partner who lives in Columbia so I know it's just over a hour to get there. Well, if you do get a 720 machine and need to submit your score just let me know. It's good to see a fellow gamer so close. :DQuote:

By the way, your machine looks awesome! I'd really like to restore mine to a similar condition, but how do I do that now that I keep playing the game? It looks like it won't be restored for a while, since I'd rather practice instead of taking it all apart.
Thanks again,

Hey Mike & Jeff:
I know Jeff was wondering if the world record on 720 was recorded using \"easy\" for the \"Timer for Street\" setting. I was wondering if you guys would experiment with something. Maybe you guys can play a full game on \"easy\" for that setting and see what kind of score you actually get? I mean, if you end up with like 650K then the world record holder probably used the correct settings. However, if you end up with something around 530K then you might have a argument on your hands and I believe you can challenge the score.
