PacMan noob :? .... fast play or slow ?
I've been looking online at various videos and patterns associated with PacMan. I have a 1980 original PacMan upright and I am pretty sure that the play is much faster than the videos I am seeing online.I'm not a high ******* , the play is faster. Is there a way to determine the speed? change it ? If I was to submit a score would it have to be slow play ?
I would love for someone to hook me up with some basic info [ will trade for poker ( online or brick and mortar ) advice to those in need ] I would very much like to submit a score .
Any response would be much appreciated. Thanks alot.

What b&m casinos do you play at? What limits? Just curious.
Re: PacMan noob :? .... fast play or slow ?
Hard rock in Florida is my home casino.
I deal the world series in Vegas at the Rio every summer.
So it all depends. I make the majority of my roll online. Live I play 2-5 holdem and 3/6 Omaha hi/lo, and any tourney . I'm a tournament specialist. SNGS to MTTS ...kill them all . I actually took down a WSOP (non braclet ) event in 2010. Any info you can share with me about this game of consumption ?

Hi Phillip-
Some of the Pac games (Pac-Man, Ms. Pac-Man, and even Jr. Pac-Man) have a "turbo" chip installed, which causes Pac-Man to move WAY faster than the ghosts. I'm guessing that your game is the Turbo version of Pac-Man.
I'm not certain how you convert that back to an original speed game; someone more mechanically inclined will have to help you with that if that's what you want to do.
However, you CAN still submit scores for turbo! They're just tracked in different categories. Do a search, you'll see several variants for Pac-Man: Points [Factory Speed], and Points [Turbo Speed]. You'll want to submit for the latter.

Unfortunately not lol, I'm not much of a Pac player. Borgata is my home casino, I'm strictly a ring player, 5/10 NLHE mostly. Good to see other poker players that play classic games.

Nice. I don't think anything has been installed in my machine...or at least i hope not. the slow versions of the game look so ...elementary? Idk. I don't want to beat a score then people be like " Oh, it was turbo mode. " Is it considered noobish or less of an accomplishment if you beat a score on turbo?
5/10 NLHE @ Borgata ? That's pretty awesome. I had no idea they spread heads up tables there.
You ever play online ? I'm playing on Lock Poker. They have pretty good structure and every limit of play. You should get on there.
I appreciate your time responding.

If you're just picking a number for yourself, then it's probably going to be easier in turbo.
If when you say "beat a score," you're talking about the record, then don't worry, you can't beat it at either speed. You can only tie, and both are just as impressive.

Ah, I meant Hold Em, not heads up. I would get destroyed heads up at those limits lol.

Yes I understand I can't beat the actual score... but time wise I could. I just want to know if my credits will be less notable if I did beat the time on a PacMan machine that has "turbo" mode. I have no idea if mine even is.... I just know the play is much faster than the things I have seen online.... I think I am going to post a video to youtube. I'm looking for someone to help me step my game up as well. I would like to do something with this game. Anyone PacMan tourneys for $ ? Thanks for the responses guys. Means alot.

I don't know if there is currently a track for that.
You can't submit anything for Pac-Man when you're not playing Pac-Man. You can only submit for Pac-Man Turbo. Your question is akin to saying "I can break a four minute mile...on a bicycle...will it count?" No, it won't. You have to submit scores for the track you are actually playing.
