(Arcade WR News) New Heavy Weight Gorf Champion!
I would like to congratulate Keith R Swanson for becoming the new world record holder on the classic arcade game, Gorf. This is the 3 ship version. Keith also becomes the 1st person to ever score over a million on 3 ships as he finished with a whopping score of 1,129,660.
Back in January, 2009 John P. McCann set the bar high with a score of 943,580. And now there is only 186,080 points separating these two scores. I can only imagine what the future holds for these two gamers.

What a monster score, way to go! I love that game, and that is a nice looking machine. Hopefully, one day I will have Gorf in my collection.

Major props, man.

For years Todd Rogers Gorf record was the game he was most associated with, and he has hundreds of epic scores. This really is an amazing score.

The first (and only?) million!!! Awesome!!
Re: (Arcade WR News) New Heavy Weight Gorf Champion!
Congratulations Keith on an amazing score! It's about time somebody stepped up to the plate!
I'll definitely have my work cut out for me if I want to win the title back.
Once again congrats to the new Gorf World Champ! Way to go Keith.....

Some more interesting facts about Keith's game...
It took 6 1/2 hours to complete and a total of 826 missions. The 1st ship was lost at 80,460. 2nd ship was lost at 173,420. 3rd ship was lost at 774,040 and of course the final ship was lost at 1,129,660. So the 3rd ship was the biggest gain and the final ship was a major winner as well.

Thanks everybody,
It sure was not a easy score to beat. John set the bar very high back in 2009. 3 out of the 4 ships lost where on the galaxians screen the other on the Laser attack screen on my record run. I often wondered if this game has a kill screen.
