Rules
Game must be played on the arcade version on 1 credit. The end of level 39 and the kill-screen must be reached for the score to be valid.

Multiple versions of this arcade cabinet exist, some of which do not actively track the high score (stays 15,000 for the duration of the game and doesn't update past the kill-screen). Due to this the score used will be the score displayed in the top left as the kill-screen is reached.

Is there a reason why the player must reach the kill screen? Seems a little elitist. ;)

I didn't really think about it being elitist to be honest, just that the record would be unbeatable without hitting the kill screen or that by the time you made it that far (in this game approx 4 hours) you wouldn't want to quit so I put is as a condition. It also matches the tracking on RecordSetter which I am currently awaiting confirmation from on my submitted WR video.

No elitism intentional :P

From my perspective, as someone very unlikely to stick with a game for long enough to learn that much, I can see that your rule immediately prevents any "passer's by" on the game from competing.

I can certainly appreciate your perspective and welcome it. My verbiage was aimed at tracking the game from the world record angle as opposed to the top 5 angle. In hind sight I could have taken note from various other tracks here which have one or two very high scores and people competing for 3rd or 4th.

I would be interested to know some other view points on this matter, if anyone else around here wants to weigh in.

Add this one again but don't make it where you have to reach the kill screen. More scores are better.
