The Netherlands must be near Knoxville...everything is all orange here too....well that's the colour of the University of Tennessee Football team, the Big Orange. I'd love to play anybody who could break 400,000 and possibly defeat me. It's lonely at the top....! I'm tired of only competing with numbers, just numbers. I did get beaten at Ms. Pacman once. That was a long time ago. Sometimes I leave my game on for a few days just to look at a score as I walk by so I'll get determined to make more. My nephew, my "Pad-wan Learner", hasn't been over to Pac in about a month. He has a long way to go in controlling his force.Quote:

The only other person I've seen with a 400K+ score is Rick Fothergill. He's got an old INP over at MARP that's 440K. You need a really old version of MAME, and either an old PC, or DosBOX to view it though. There's also a respectable 323K done with WolfMAME 106 there. Me? I'm still stuck at 118K (on a real machine)
I know someone who has not played jrpac publicly yet...but is able to score well beyond 400k.
hope he does a run at funspot this fall or next summer.
maybe we can get Richie to get a jrpac and this gamer to finally visit Richie's place! cmon! :D

Whomever can break 400,000 would make fit comp' for me.
I had a 191,000 on the first 7 screens yesterday with no men lost. I had it going in circles to finish today but apparently my power went off last night while I slept. Tropical Storm Lee's remnants were about. I'll start over today. I'm in the mood to eat dots....
I almost played my best game ever last night. I ended up at 494,000. I could'a, should'a made about 530,000. I was on a pace to break 500,000 on the 16th screen, maybe even the 15th screen...? I wish I'd started my game earlier. I was so tired towards the end that I lost several men to fatigue more so than by the angry machine. I didn't lose a man till the latter part of the 12th screen. I managed to lose 4 Pacmen, 4 Beers, and at least 10,000 points in BIG Dots on screens 12, 13, and 14. When I got to screen 15, I considered leaving the came going in circles and finishing the game on the morrow. I drank the last of my Mello Yello and took a break for about 15 minutes and decided to finish. I cleared 15 and 16 without losing any men and got all the Beers. I arrived at screen 17 with 483,000 and managed to grab 2 Beers and a few Dots before losing my last two lives.
My games are so-oooo very long that fatigue is always a factor. Sometimes I'll play through the 7th or 11th screen and put the game in circles to finish later. The problem with that is about half the time things go badly when I resume the game. It's hard to resume the intensity and concentration needed the next day many times.
In the last few weeks I've learned how I can get all the Ghosts at the two bottom energizers on screen 4 and when that maze recurs as screen 8. It won't work on screen 12 when the same maze comes up again. There's only 3 blinks of Blue Time on 12. Given 5 blinks, like on 4 & 8, and I'm in business. In last night's game I made all of the Ghosts at 5 out of the 6 energizers on screen 4. The top left and right energizers are now the hardest for me to convert on that style screen but I make them at a rate between 25-50%, I'd guesstimate.
I've changed my style on screen 17. I clear dots in the middle, bottom of the screen at the beginning now. I'm trying to clear the dots in the areas that I need clear to try and avoid being run down instantly by the Red Ghost. I think I'm making progress. As of late, I've not made it to the 17th screen with more than 3 lives left. Fatigue is one of the factors. The other main factor is my joystick is beat to hell. I hope to get a new one or a rebuild done soon. The way I group the monsters tightly and SLAM them at energizers has taken it's toll. A gorilla would probably be easier on the stick!
How does one post pictures on this forum? I'd like to post pic's of my game and scores but have not figured out how. I'm not very clever with computers.... :?
