When I was around 18, 30 + years ago, we used to skive off and play Phoenix. 2 credits would easily last me and a mate for 5 hours and the machine would get shut diown before we were "killed". Duncan could score higher than either of us. We were all in excess of 1,300,000 though I can't give exact scores.
I eventually bought an arcade machine which sadly hasn't really been used. We are planning a bit of go one day to see if we can gear those scores again. pretty sure if we could do that, there will be others too. I have been told my scores were the highest ever in london when playing there but in truth, they were quite poor scores due to lack of time and rushing for big scores every time.
How do we authenticate our scores if we can get near again?
