Track Rules
Do not take any risks with this challenge. Do not break the law of your region. Do not place anyone in danger during the attempt of this challenge. The player (and any accompanying individuals) is (are) responsible for their own safety and their own actions.
The player must use an item from their inventory which activates and is shown on-screen for a duration of 30 minutes - an incense, for example. The timing of the attempt will coincide with this item's duration.
The score entered is the number of unique Pokestops successfully visited in the 30 minute item duration. A successful visit to a Pokestop requires that the Pokestop change from blue to purple/pink via a spin of the Pokestop. Only unique Pokestops are counted, not Gyms (nor any future sites types - at the time of the rules being written, only Pokestops and Gyms exist). If the player repeats a visit to a Pokestop, it is not counted a second time. It is preferable that the Pokestop's name/picture is shown but it is not a requirement. For those Pokestops without name/picture shown, the map can be used to provide evidence that the Pokestop is at a different location to the other Pokestops visited during the attempt. Any Pokestop which is shown on the map does not count unless it is activated (signified by the colour change to the Pokestop from blue to purple/pink).
The attempt begins the moment the 30 minute item appears on screen and the attempt ends when the item duration ends. If a Pokestop obscures the running item when the duration ends, it is not counted. The final Pokestop must have been activated and exited before the duration of the 30 minute item runs out for it to be counted. Obviously, this challenge requires the sacrifice of a duration item but the player can play the game as normal using other features of the game (including terminating the game for not working correctly - seems like a built-in feature!). If the end of the item duration is obscured for any reason other than a Pokestop, only those Pokestops successfully visited prior to the final viewing of the item duration are counted.
The rules do not dictate the mode of transport(s) used by the player but all movement of the gaming device must be by the same player and be ground-based. Entering and exiting ground-based vehicles of any kind is considered normal ground-based movement and permissible. Aerial movement of the gaming device is not permitted.
Naturally, there will be geographical advantages available to some players. There is no regional separation to the challenge - have fun with your availability. Additionally, the game requires Internet access and so any applicable bandwidth access and charges are the player's responsibility to organise and cover.
It is suggested you plan your route ahead of the attempt. Reminder: this challenge will require evidence of your geographical movements - law enforcement could use it against you. It is the player's responsibility to ensure any and all applicable access requirements to Pokestops are met and covered by access laws or other applicable laws to the region wherever this may be applicable and/or necessary. Stay legal in your attempt and stay safe!
Do not take any risks with this challenge. Do not break the law of your region. Do not place anyone in danger during the attempt of this challenge.
