Cool Records tracked for Normal Ms. pac-man PCB vs 60-in-1 iCade Classic Multigame Vertical JAMMA PCB

    Hi Forum Members

Just recently Jon has completed a Pac-man score using a machine 60-1. Does this also mean that one may play on a " 60-in-1 iCade Classic Multigame Vertical JAMMA PC" arcade machine instead of the normal ms.pacman arcade machine and the game played on the "60-1" board will be eligible for the arcade track ms. pacman record?

Why I asking is that I only do have access to a machine that do have " 60-in-1 iCade Classic Multigame JAMMA PCB"

    Regards
    Francois du Toit

The 60-1 is not tracked at all and they are totally separate as any Ms. Pac-Man score would need to be on a original Ms. Pac arcade cabinet using the original hardware PCB.

    Hi Jon

Yes , The photo on the forum thread of your score do show a board plus the comments that was posted with in the thread said "60-1" or do I misunderstood the post?
So then your game play was then not on a 60-1 but an orginal board? If so why is their mentioning of that if an 60-1 board was used?
I have nothing against your score or game played I just want to understand how these things work.

Whatever, please explain. So if one submit a score played on a 60-1 board it will be store under a different track than the original arcade or the emulation (mame).?

No, there is no track (that I know of) for a 60-1 board. And MAME is totally separate from the 60-1 as well.

    Hi Francois,
There was probably a misinterpretation of the writing in that thread. It got rather wild.

But the facts are that Jon did NOT use a 60-1 PCB.

If you would like to post a Ms Pac-Man score at TG, you can use wolfmame 106 then submit the INP file and any video footage or info to help provide credibility to your claim.

    Good Luck!

Thanks will do so, but would like to submit a score played on the original too Hopefully I will be able
to visit an arcade overseas that still do have the original machines and not ICADE replacement ones.
Here in South Africa all arcade centres, that still do exist, only do have the ICADE and some the
ms. pacman-turbo original but not the ms. pacman (normal speed) original.

the US is very, very lucky to have access to real machines, it is hard for Americans to understand that some classic video game players haven't seen a real arcade machine in 3 decades.

That would be great if you visited from South Africa.
There are MANY great hobby people and arcades around where you will be able to play Ms PacMan which is not a multi-board.
Before you decide to travel, ask here and you will get a LOT of fun places to visit.

    New friendships await.

    Hi Francois,

I was joking with the 60 in 1 comment, as it was mentioned in the thread that I 'likely' used one. Long story
As already mentioned, Multi boards are not tracked on TG. I would use an emulator if you can't obtain a real arcade cab to practice on. I had an emulator (MAME) cab in 2008 before I bought my first Pac Man cabaret. I used this whilst I was restoring my machine and then went to Funspot the same year to lay down a score.
