Most of the arcade Strikers 1945 scores are impossible. The last 2 digits of the score should always be 00, unless the player continued. Every time a player continues with another credit, 1 point is added to the score.

Multiple TG staff posted in that topic acknowledging the problem, but as usual, nothing was done about it.
Could the machine have been set to free play or something? I imagine it being this sort of thing. However, obviously tracked incorrectly regardless.
I like to destroy games... especially the ones with Mario in them.

RTM REPLY - sometimes an error is just that...an error. Pre-2000, I caught that the then-WR in the TG database on "Star Wars" (marathon) was 6 BILLION points. Considering that I took 49-1/2 hours to put up 300 million, needless to say I felt that score was impossible. Sure enough when I called Walter...typo.

So before everyone jumps on the bandwagon about impossible point-based or even time-based scores based on digits, consider that possibility.

I personally removed several "impossible" scores over the years for a number of reasons, all of which are mentioned ad nauseum within older posts on the TG forum, including such titles as "Ikari Warriors", "Lunar Lander", "Spectar" and many, many more. Search for keyword "hiatus" and you may find the associated thread(s).

Before you say "typo", perhaps you should look at the scoreboard in question. You can't seriously think that 6/8 scores, most of which were verified on the same day, are mere typos.

This one interests me, and I'm going to buy this game to look into it further. I will add it to the list.

Good question. Yes, the score is reasonable within Karate Champ PvP because of the overwhelming similarities between PvP and the original game. The scoring system is nearly identical between the two.

It's likely that this score was indented to be logged within a track bearing the PvP name, although I have no way of proving that portion of my observation.

    - could also be entered against the wrong title !! If you check the second TG BoR there is a score attributed to me on arcade "Strikers 1945 III" or something like that, set at Funspot. Two problems...(A) Funspot does not have the title and (B) I never played the title before.

So even beyond a typo, data entry errors abound from BitD.

    Thank you.

That score is on the verge of actually being true. There's some people over at rolling-start.com that are really fast in this game and their best recorded time is 37.681. 0.732 time difference could be possible. I could ask around for expert opinion on if a sub 37 second laptime could be possible.
