Super Nintendo Entertainment System - Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego - Fastest full completion

    PlatformSuper Nintendo Entertainment System
Game NameWhere in the World is Carmen Sandiego
    DescriptionFastest full completion
    Score TypeCompleted Percentage
RulesPlayer must start a new game, standard recording procedures are required. No special rules, all you need to do is complete the game winning all 30 Cases in a row as fast as possible, you may take breaks as needed to look up info but, it will cost you time.

This track is a combo of time and completion, if you lose a case your game is over and you must power down and re-start from your first case.

An Original SNES console and Cart/SNES Everdrive are required with boot up

The timer begins as you start your first case upon being able to investigate (once you are able to walk or travel) Timer ends when you lose a case or you win all 30 cases final timer will be as you apprehend the final Dossier use a stop watch for the method.....

"you may take breaks as needed to look up info but, it will cost you time."

Does this mean using the internet to find walkthroughs? Is this the only way you can complete this game, by cheating?

Despite the remark about looking up info, it does seem that the rules are contradictory. You mention if you lose a case you have to power down and restart from first case. Then at the end it says timer ends when you lose a case or complete all 30.

Also, sorry, but you put score type as Completed Percentage and you reference timing the run in the rules. I think this whole thing needs redone. Two tracks - one for Completion Percentage at time of game over, and one for Elapsed Time for fastest full completion. It's really hard to combine two things and measure them both. You can combine completion 100% with time, because the completion 100% is a qualification of the run that is timed. It's very challenging to combine any% with a timed run like this because I could lose my first case and that would be a FAST run. The rules leave it open as to what's the achievement required to submit to the track.

He's really just missing the line "If you do not complete all 30 missions your attempt is disqualified". I think its pretty obviuos thats whats meant. Come on guys, noone likes rudy, but that doesnt mean we have to debase ourselves too. The wording could use tweaking but its well defined enough that everyone knows whats meant

When it comes to defining rules, we cannot leave it up to the interpretation of the player. Otherwise we get endless debates over small details or different interpretations. This isn't about people's likes or dislikes for a person. This is about making sure the tracks we fund make sense, are easy to understand and follow.
