I was lucky to catch the last part of the game starting at level 19, wow very impressive. So close to a perfect game, just missed the last barrel on the kill screen.
Arcade - Donkey Kong - Points [Hammer Allowed] - 1,218,000 - Wes Copeland
Congratulations Wes on an incredible score. (I'm headed to the library tomorrow to watch this one ;)
LOL! You'll be back.My goal with Donkey Kong has always been to have a game where I could look back and say "I don't think I could've done any better". I think this is the one. As a result, I'm now retired.
Great news for the tournaments section of the site though.
Seriously though, that is a respectable goal and admirable that you have reached it. Well done.

Here is what I find fascinating about the performance. As some know this is not the first time Wes has made it to level 21-5 on his first man, but what is amazing is less than 8 months ago with Wes cashing in all three men he had an end score of 1,170,500. That's lower than his first man score of 1,173,800.
If the Kong Off continues to have it where there is a machine for the top 12 Arcade scores of all time, than I believe that Wes now has guaranteed himself a machine for the rest of his life.
