RNOO#1 Emulation Guidelines
Attached to this post you will find the approved emulators for the upcoming Retro Nintendo Online Open #1 tournament. Please note unless otherwise stated within a game's rules that Retro Uprising is also allowed. RU may not support some of the games that have been voted into the tournament (games have not been revealed yet).
Only the emulators in this zip are approved to be used in the tournament due to their accuracy and faithfulness to the emulation of the original hardware. In the attached zip, you will find:
- FCEUX 2.2.0 [NES / Famicom / FDS]
- BGB [Gameboy / Gameboy Color]
- SNES 9x 1.53 [SNES]
- Visual Boy Advance 1.7.2 [Gameboy Advance]
For the time being, there is no strict guideline on recording anything similar to INP... as most of these emulators are not capable of outputting such a file.
What I do ask is that while recording, please show the entire window of the emulator. That way I know an appropriate emulator is being used. I will not disqualify a score if this doesn't happen, but if other concerns are raised about an emulated score in question it will be more likely to be disqualified.
Note that BGB's menus and options can be accessed by right clicking inside the window.
If there any questions, feel free to post them in this thread.
Knowledge about FCEUX: it is possible to cheat without any visual confirmation when playing in full-screen mode. Windowed mode does not suffer this issue provided the entire window is shown. Fair warning before anyone is accused: play in windowed mode! ;)

Are you on my radar
I'd rather be last on every game than throw my time away chasing only one score.
Thanks for gathering all emulators and zipping it up, appreciate it. Are games being released tonight?! Can' wait!
Game list will be released tonight, and tournament starts at 12:01am eastern.
