."Stage 5" refers to the first maze in which the central prize, recognisable as an apple, is worth 700 points.
.The timespan of the "perfect" stage 5 clearance is measured in frames. It starts at the frame in which the “READY!” disappears, and ends at the frame in which the player adds 16,000 points to his or her score.
.Before the “READY!” disappears, the player's score must be between 10,400 and 61,200 (inclusive). Any other score shall result in rejection of the player's submission.
.The frame numbers used to calculate the timespan shall be those assigned by the specific version of Wolf MAME used by the player, therefore Wolf MAME's input file (extension, INP) shall be the sole evidence of said timespan.
.All frames must be counted, so the timespan is an inclusive total. Thus:-
Timespan = ending frame's number - starting frame's number + 1.
.Errors yielding a longer timespan (more frames counted than necessary) shall be tolerated. Errors yielding a shorter timespan (uncounted frames) shall result in rejection of the player's submission.
