Arcade - Boxer Glove - POWER game mode, hit the bag as hard as possible with a single closed fist - 862 - William McEvoy

POWER game mode, hit the bag as hard as possible with a single closed fist
    Score Trackhttp://www.twingalaxies.com/scores.php?scores=208651
RulesThere are several versions of this machine in the wild, all versions are acceptable for this track. You must show the machine in full, as well as the player who is doing the punching. Show the settings to prove the POWER game mode is selected. Show the name of the game and any manufacturing details if available.Player must punch the bag with a closed fist. No open hand slaps, elbows, knees, kicks, or any other part of the body. The hand must be bare i.e. you are not allowed to wear gloves, tape, or any protective gear.If the game allows for multiple punches, the highest score for any single punch is what counts.
Submission MessageThis score was achieved at the Half Moon Arcade at Weirs Beach, NH. I played about 5 games, this last one had the highest score. This is a very fun game, but at $1 a play it is not *****. My daughter Jessica held the camera for me.

I recorded this with a Blackberry PRIV smartphone. It is Canadian, just like me. :)

That is a good question. The manufacturer touts it as an Arcade game:
    https://www.libertygames.co.uk/store...t-boxer-glove/

It has several built in games, allows for multi player, tournaments, even tracking scores across the internet. It is a modern machine being placed in arcade settings.

I'll let people chime in for a day or so. If this is the wrong category, I'll ask the admins to put it into Novelty instead of Arcade.

remember, pinballs are "flipper arcades" and what we call arcades are "electronic arcades". I believe they're calling it an arcade game by the more formal general definition -- any entertainment machine that goes in an arcade. I do not believe this is to be classified as what we mean by arcade -- electronic arcade game. novelty makes sense to me

of course, the moment its not pure electromechanical, and any electronics are involved at all, i'd say you have a loophole

That thought crossed my mind to, as I asked Data-Drago the same exact question before I helped fund the track for him. I think either/or, but because its not an older classic machine, like the shooting gallery games from the 60's and 70's, its OK to be an Arcade game classification like how its submitted.

one more point in favor of accept.

This is a valid score for the track. The only debate is if this is a valid track for the platform. If this is the wrong platform, its not like the score needs to be moved to another track, but rather the entire track with all its scores would be moved. To reject this score is to reject the entire track.

Accepted. Now for the classification part. I"d go with novelty as it's more mechanical than electronic. Usually a video game or arcade game has something visual about it to be displayed using a monitor. Hope you enjoyed your time in NH, I did.

Definitely an accepted score just on the wrong "platform".
