    Credibility Reconciliation - July 2017

    This report is long overdue.

My calculated credibility has not agreed with the value reported by TG since Tuesday, 03-07-2017 at 6:00 AM (EST), 135 days ago.

I first mentioned the variance on March 09, in a reply to this topic (link below):

Missing submission points since recent update

I did not want to raise this issue until I had a chance to perform a comprehensive CR reconciliation.

I have since done that. Twice.

The entire contents of the Accepted and Rejected archives were examined on 2 separate occasions (5 days apart).

    Reconciliation #1

As of Wednesday, July 12 at 03:00 AM (EDT):

    Name: CR Recon 2017-07-12.jpg
Views: 106
Size: 59.8 KB

    Reconciliation #2

As of Monday, July 17 at 08:00 AM (EDT):

    Name: CR Recon 2017-07-17.jpg
Views: 105
Size: 58.5 KB

    Possible Cause

It appears that at least one problematic submission was never completely processed.

The item below is my guess as the most likely candidate:

    Atari 2600 / VCS - Decathlon - EMU - High Jump - - 2.2 - Marco Sandoval

I voted "Yes" for Marco's submission.

If my research and analysis are correct, neither I nor anyone else received CR and SP for voting correctly. I also suspect that the database service (which recalculates everyone's CR from day one) has consistently bypassed Marco's accepted submission.

    @admin staff

Could you please confirm (or dispute) the accuracy of the voting data I have provided?

My current CR should be exactly 35,000 points ( 11,435 correct votes, 4 incorrect votes ).

Also, might you examine Marco's submission for anything unusual?

If Marco's submission is not the culprit, then perhaps one of these is responsible:

Nintendo Game Cube - Pac-Man World Rally - NTSC - Time Trial Mode - Classic Cup - Galactic Outpost [Fastest Lap] - 48.86 - Fred Bugmann

Nintendo Game Cube - Pac-Man World Rally - NTSC - Time Trial Mode - Grape Cup - Pirate Cove [Fastest Lap] - 38.58 - Fred Bugmann

Both items were accepted, with duplicate announcements in the shoutbox (on separate days):

    March 07, 2017

    * fredb999 's submission Nintendo Game Cube - Pac-Man World Rally - NTSC - Time Trial Mode - Classic Cup - Galactic Outpost [Fastest Lap] - 48.86 - Fred Bugmann has been accepted* [11:10 AM]

    * fredb999 's submission Nintendo Game Cube - Pac-Man World Rally - NTSC - Time Trial Mode - Grape Cup - Pirate Cove [Fastest Lap] - 38.58 - Fred Bugmann has been accepted* [11:30 AM]

    March 10, 2017

    Hi Stella

You were right . Marco's submission was the culprit.

The database service counts the votes up to the 3rd decimal place for accuracy . I can't reveal the exact numbers but i will give an example of what happened .

The original service completed the submission with accuracy of 2 decimal places ie 34.36 but did not award the cr and sp

I ran the reconciler which calculates with 3 decimal places ie 34.368. The required votes were 34.368, so the database service skipped this submission.

I ran the service again after changing the code and everything seems fine now .

    Please check and confirm

Thank you for the quick resolution.

    Just as I suspected.

I have placed this @Marco1019 character under 24-hour surveillance.

Behind his engaging smile lurks the devious mind of a CR saboteur.

    The issue has resurfaced.

At some point today, the incorrect CR and SP values from last week were restored.

Was the applied "fix" intended to be a one-time-only process?

If so, additional modifications are necessary to ensure a permanent solution.
