Dispute: Jeremy Young - Arcade - Robotron: 2084 - Marathon - Player: Brian King - Score: 348691680
He did post. My concern was with his own statements. He had even the most minute details about his performance stated here which is why I said I have an issue. You cannot survive an hour and still have 30 - 40 lives left after only building up to about 200 or so. I don't think that is possible which is why I said already that it feels like he just played as much as he could over 5 or 6 days and they guesstimated a score thinking that was within the spirit of the rules. Given the timeline details he could have slept a good 6 hours a day (Which is about what I get right now if im lucky!)
Efficiency is vital. Take a look at Barra's recent 3.5 hour Galaga performance. jjt posted an approval along with a fine summary outlining the submission for all to read just 1.5 hours after the submission was made. Considering that the 3.5 hour video likely took a fair amount of time to decode on TG's end, a 1.5 hour turnaround time is pretty amazing.
If anyone wants to see just how difficult it really is to play almost 24hrs on one credit, Johnny Gallegos is making a run at the 100 million point gauntlet right now. 25million in, so far.
Not just this Robotron score but I bet there are quite a few other fake Robotron scores unless some of them continued to drop quarters and keep playing? One reason is the bug that reset the game which would force you to start over.
