The vast majority of scores that were removed were done with very good reason, including...

    "Donkey Kong" 5M (NES)
    "Frogger" 4M (Arcade)
    "Lunar Lander" 4K+ (Arcade)
"Marble Madness" (the Stan Szypanski score)
"Missile Command" 60M (Marathon by Roy Shildt)
    "Polaris" 700K+ (arcade)
    "Scramble" 8M (Arcade)
    "Spectar" 151K (Arcade)

The Polaris 700K arcade score is still in the TG database ..
    was it re-instated ?

RTM REPLY - rats, that is a major mistake, then...I think you would have to have the capabilities of Commander Data from "Star Tek" to score that high for real !! It should be removed immediately...BUT someone would have to launch a score dispute which only gamers with 4000 credibility can do...as such this will likely stay, and stay...and stay...in the TG database forever more :(

What exactly is "star tek", is it Klingonese for "star trek" ?.. lol

seriously : I don't think there was any intentional cheating involved in order to achieve this world record.
In my humble opinion there are two possibilities :
Either the player and the referee were not aware that the invincibility DIP switch was accidentally turned on OR it was a simple case of a typo/misprint in the world record registration process (perhaps it's 79,180 and not 791,800 which still makes a great score)
I would really want to hear Cyril Herridge's side of the story
    Cheers
    Doron

That would make a lot of sense...a simple score entry typo. It's happened on multiple occasions in the TG database but only on a few occasions involving a world record.
