And this video goes out to those that rather watch a great film, than watch a boring Atari game!

Somebody with a math proclivity and a bit of spare time should be able to come up with the odds of getting a maxout on the game.

    It would be interesting...
I believe the odds are, you can play the game over and over for a lifetime, and NEVA EVA get the 9999 maxout.

Apples to Oranges, Its like with Megabucks: buying every single lottery ticket, for every possible combination ( 80 numbers ) a week before the drawing, the machine CANNOT print that many tickets out in time for the perfect one to win! So individually, you will lose!!!

Game 1 ends when either one of the players goes bankrupt. If the computer (on the left) busts out, you can reset the game which will give you an additional $25 along with what you’ve already accumulated. If this is acceptable, then $9,999 may be possible. If a game reset is considered a new game, then the odds of getting $9,999 are even more difficult. Your score relies heavily on luck in the first few spins along with the computer betting high when the winning spins occur. There is some strategy involved, but only when both of the scores are well above $1,000.

    Exactly. You nail it !

Because there is nothing in these rules that states, "continues are allowed". Therefore, in my opinion, you just cant keep resetting. Now if you decide to walk away, and intentionally stop your game with coins, then thats your official ending score.

Greg, do you agree that, when its a game over, (bankrupt - screen is black), then that is it?

I agree! A game reset is a new game.

From reading the rules it sounds like the center line is the only one that pays in game 1. If the computer goes broke and reset is hit you get the money you had plus both players get 25. I say keep going as long as you don't bust
