I'll definitely be burning CD's of the rare games for casual use...Maybe I'll submit a score using one and see what happens.
You could probably make the argument that a burned disc is more legit than a flash cart, since it is read directly from the media it is written to, rather than having an interface that reads and dumps the rom from a SD card to a to an unoriginal chip set before being read by the console.

    Another question, somewhat related...

How do folks feel about using a boot disc or adapter cart to by pass regional lock outs? I'm talking strictly within the NTSC format. So North America/JP only. I'm not at all talking about NTSC/PAL region locks, since that brings with it timing concerns.

Adapters for NES, SNES, GEN, N64 can just pass the game data along unaltered, its just a way around the physical barrier of the cartridge shell not matching the cartridge port.

Boot discs for Playstation, Dreamcast, etc, trick the console in to ignoring the regional identification of disc, but the data of the game itself is unaltered.

I personally would have no concerns with this sort of submission, but I'm certainly interested in hearing everyone's opinions.

    I would think so, yes.
