Dispute Evidence / RationaleI am here to dispute Lowell Duncan's score on this track because the game itself is a homebrew and is super rare to find!

Game known as a homebrew here:
    http://atariage.com/forums/topic/163...ari-2600-roms/

As far as I know, there are only 5 copies in existence noted here:
    http://atariage.com/forums/topic/231...mes/?p=3102153

Atari Age is the only place where Go Fish! Special Edition is mentioned and other complete ROM sets do not even include this game in its ROM set listing.

I suggest removal of this score because there is no ROM available for competition.

5 games were MADE the rom was never dumped, no shock duncans and whalens had this game, so 2 of 5 copies were in hands of refs that verified one another scores????

Now with that said the issues are as follows and this is an easy WIN

    1. Remove WHY Duncan lived with bother and sister he was a ref and so was Whalen
    2. Remove WHY 5 Copies exist and 2 were in their hands and no rom is avail, meaning it's padded no competition
    3. Remove WHY No Video is avail and besides it's a unreleased ROM
    4. Ban Tom Duncan and Troy Whalen for padding the scoreboard!!!!!!!!
    5. REMOVE THE TRACK AND SCORE END OF DEBATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This post on Classic Arcade Gaming forums says that Tom Duncan "would set up games nobody ever heard of with tons of variations and then submit for them all."
Maybe he did this for Lowell Duncan, most likely a relative of Tom Duncan.

It is a game that exists, someone played it, and the score was recorded here. I'm not aware of any rule that says the game must see world wide retail distribution before it can be added to the score board. Now to say that Tom added it for the sole purpose of allowing for someone close to him to achieve a score that most likely nobody else would be able to compete on, does seem like a shady practice. But regardless of the motive: It is a game that exists, someone played it, and the score was recorded here. That's what TG is for.

If there are a total of 5 carts, then there are 4 other people that have the potential ability to submit a score for this track at any time. Many, many more, if one of those people decides to have the cart dumped.

My understanding of score disputes is that it is for scores that are not possible, or entered in error, or there is evidence of cheating. I'm voting no.

I second the notion that the rarity of the game media should not be grounds for dispute. I will be voting NO but I'll stick around for the discussion before actually casting that vote.

    I'm a reasonable man lol.

If no rom was dumped then it is worth questioning how a ref could verify the correct rom was even used. Because in the modern day we can create any track we like, this is indeed a valid track. However, if it can be shown it was self-entered or that a ref validated it without viewing evidence that could be grounds for removal. I think instead of focusing on others not having the rom to compete the more productive area to focus on is if it was truly verified in the first place.

If the rom or cart is NOT released it's unfair

u want me to make a bunch of proto types and submit them?

    It's pointless

Yea I'm u sure on this but would like to see what turns up in the conversation before voting either way. On the argument of the release: what's the number of copies that needs to be made for you guys to be ok with a track and would it have to be sold in stores or the rom dumped online? If your argument is on the limited release of a game, outline what would be acceptable and the cutoff to be unacceptable. Hopefully that will help me better understand your stance.

please view the list of "do no track" as long as the explanation for why things werent tracked and you'll understand why people had a problem with refs making tracks like this for themselves while denying track like those in the list for others. read this list and tell me the entire system wasnt just geared to give refs as many records as possible while removing any fair competition
