Thanks, but I don't get any sense from these math formulas.
Can you tell me in simple terms, how someone with 29 entries and 13 TG WR can have three times the ESI of someone with 143 entries and 79 TG WR?

It's a participation contest: the more people you beat on a single track, the more ESI you gain. There are two calculations: the first is how many people you surpass: surpass 1 person = 1 ESI; surpass 200 people = 200 ESI. The complex maths bit is the "bonus percentage" of by-how-much you surpass the scores of others which has a max of 1. So surpassing 1 person at best is 1+1 (surpassing the other person's score by double or more).

If you can max out Jinni Zeala pinball game on PC you're in for 500+ ESI: https://www.twingalaxies.com/game/jinni-zeala/pc/factory-default/

So it's to beat many people and their score by a lot. But how is it possible in the same game that the first place gets less ESI than the 3rd place?[examble]

You mean that when I win someone, I add his ESI of that game to my ESI ?

Here's a snapshot: the blue is for "this track only" and the pink is for "all tracks for this game". I hope I understand your query correctly...

Sort of. You will get more ESI than they get but it will not be an exact "add 1 to their ESI".

I suck at playing competitively and look at my ESI. Just gotta play to get ahead and play any and everything and you don't even have to be first place to submit.

The info line(a summary index that represents the total verified and demonstrated video game skill of the user) doesn't explain much.

For examble, Aart van Vliet has 1187 points with just 29 entries and 13 first places, while I only have 426.

If ESI is what you are looking for, I can help you. I have more than 9,000 I'm currently 2nd place in the general leaderboard and 1st place in 5 different consoles.

You need to play games that have a high index of participation to gain ESI quickly and it doesn't matter if you are 1st place or not, you just need to beat others. I see you like driving games and they are a perfect way to aquire ESI quickly. The Gran Turismo series are a perfect example, also Mario Kart for the Wii, Metropolis Street Racer for the dreamcast and the Guitar Hero series would be my main recomendations.

If you play PC mainly and dont have consoles, I suppouse MAME is your best bet, start with the most popular games and just submit scores that beat others, for example I suck at arcade games but I still got 15 ESI with a very mediocre score by playing 1942 for 15 minutes total.

It's about all tracks of a game, I see.

Btw, Jinni Zeala's first score is unbeatable because apparently it's the factory max possible.

That would be easy, but that's not what I' m looking. You see, I hate the "Other TG Records" category :-)) Spent some time with such submissions, before I learned how they work. I only go for first place, and all my submissions are first places exept Metal Slug 2 (this first place is probably with autofire but they refuse to check). Only on the mame platform, exept FlatOut for pc. Unfortunately many mame games are missing, and many tracks are blank.

Are there leaderboards for each platform? where?

Ok, this is for ESI only. Are there rankings for TG WRs?

Btw, what is that program you used in "MAME 5 Minutes Challenge 2023" to measure the time?

Not for the Platform-based #WRs, no. (Nor is there one per game.)

Hehe, OK it something there but not linked. Click the red icon and then the "More..." link. The next page URL will end with &esi=1 - take that off and you get #1sts? [Edit:] Checking Amstrad CPC & Luigi should have a big number but has 0... not sure what that value is: perhaps # tracks with #1 above other people?

https://www.twingalaxies.com/memberleaderboard.php?do=platform&id=14&esi=1

becomes:

https://www.twingalaxies.com/memberleaderboard.php?do=platform&id=14

... and as TG does not link to this anywhere, they may remove the option now that I've mentioned it. :P

PS2 Test Drive Unlimited. This track has the wrong car class restriction in the rules. The car class should be E not A.

Looks like that has just changed! I had 5 such places in "Other TG Records" which were moved to "TG World Records".

I've got no way to tell - you have 84 but did you see more?

Total number is the same. I had 79 and 17, now 84 and 12.

After I submitted to this track and refreshed the page, APMs score went from 108 to 000. Can someone correct this?

PS2 TDU Turtle Bay Slingshot

And why is zero better than 109.06? Is the ranking set to lowest is better?

A couple more typos on Monster Hunter World have been spotted. Could you see to changing these, please, as they have scores attached already.

I spotted this one myself - there's an extra word in the title for https://www.twingalaxies.com/game/monster-hunter-world/playstation4/quest-events-3-star-where-the-sun-meets-moon-single-player-time/page/1 - the word "the" is not present in the game.

Before:

Quest - Events - 3-Star: Where the Sun Meets Moon - Single Player [Time]

After:

Quest - Events - 3-Star: Where Sun Meets Moon - Single Player [Time]

Thanks to @Troy_Whelan for this highlight. The word "Rotten" has been mispelled in this track title:

https://www.twingalaxies.com/game/monster-hunter-world/playstation4/quest-optional-level-4-star-a-rotton-thing-to-do-single-player-time/

Before:

Quest - Optional - Level 4-Star - A Rotton Thing To Do - Single Player [Time]

After:

Quest - Optional - Level 4-Star - A Rotten Thing To Do - Single Player [Time]

Thanks. :D
