The Number of the Beast

I just noticed that 666 is embedded, in an occult form, within my current TG Credibility Rating. I'll take that as a sign that it's time for more Number of the Beast submissions. So, all ye Maiden fans and Devil worshippers, look out for some easy adjudication opps.

    Haha!!!

Although I enjoy the concept of the Devil, horns and fire and stuff, I'm still on the "other team", haha, but there's no sense to be good if there isn't evil, you would just be "being".

    Do love the Maiden tho!!!

    :)

Something I've noticed, or rather, something that at least appears to be a certain way to me-

I've picked up the electric again, pretty committed to Metal on it(them...I suddenly have too many guitars. Yay!), and even trying to do a little writing, in and around the "modern" metal sound.

Well, I don't actually listen to a lot of music, and in the writing case, I think that will help me, not influenced by anyone/anything else, except my "already there" roots, but it's occurred to me that they have pretty much replaced "Satanism" in Metal with "Aggression"-sometimes, "Let's Fight", lol, but often "Be Powerful", or some such BS.

Obviously there are exceptions, just speaking the "norm" anymore-everything I hear sounds like a WWF Wrestler introduction song, lol.

I don't have aggressive tendencies anymore than Satanic ones, but it does sorta make the thought of figuring out "what to write about" a little easier for me.

    Haha.

A pretty big-time Maiden fan that says his Prayers every night...

    The insanity never ends.

    :D

The whole Devil worshipping music thing is a fascinating subject. The first band to do it was the Beatles, when backmasking records was newly invented. It was the new way for popular artists to show submission to their recording industry masters. But, when underground artists found out about it, they decided to one up the pop artists, putting satanic stuff right into their lyrics and artwork, and to Hell with the backmasking. By the end of the '80s, the whole thing was out of hand, so the music industry controllers decided that it was time to pussify metal. And we all know what happened, in the '90s. It doesn't surprise me that no one sings about the Devil, anymore. Poor guy.

Dude, I have been wanting to play Guitar Hero so badly. I just know once I start it will be 3-4 months of me playing it straight. I was such a huge Guitar Hero fan back in the day. Number of the Beast was one of my favorites. Love me some Iron Maiden.

    Ironically, and honestly-

Maiden was pretty much the band that got me into Metal, and interested in playing guitar, late 80's, BUT...

I didn't listen/enjoy them as much after I started playing guitar, for one reason-

It's next to impossible for one guitar player to sit by themself and replicate the two guitar attack!!!

Is a little more practical now, with "looping devices"(you record one section, then can play over it), but unless you had a buddy playing along(I didn't...), just never could quite "get it".

NOT bagging, but I never "got" the Guitar Hero thing(Family did, we have the whole setup somewhere...).

Just seems like with the same effort, one could learn to play a real guitar!!!

    :D

Don't be late, the last ones in line don't even get the spit.

I'm sure, in that..."position", you at least want the spit.

In the last couple weeks, I've watched 'the Omen', 'Prince of Darkness' and 'the Prophecy'.

    Coincidence?
