Armando Gonzalez breaks the 29 year old Galaga World Record!!!

Armando Gonzalez has broken the 29 year old Galaga Marathon record. He played live at Pinball Madness in Banning, California

I spoke with Armando tonight and his unofficial score is 17.6m. The old record set in 1989 was 15,999,990

So happy for him. He's a good friend of mine and an overall great guy, no one is more deserving. The footage will be uploaded within the coming days and submitted to TG

    This is awesome Andrew mate, thanks for sharing this! :) I was wondering what event this may have been, pretty cool. There's also a pinball expo in Chicagoland that I didn't make it out to this weekend, in part due to poor planning, but also, a family engagement on Saturday. Regardless, it's been fun, and catching some of the action in various streams, including some brief play by Armando, has made this weekend pretty cool, congrats to Armando! Đức

    It took me 10 hours and 50 minutes to complete the game.

    Incredible gameplay by Armando! A 17 million point score is certainly impressive, and the fact that someone took down the nearly 30-year long record is just icing on the cake. Congrats, man!
