So I'm once again reaching out to the wonderful tech laden community of TG for some help. I'm basically doing stream highlights of my wife's cake decorating streams for her. I've gotten our first video up on YouTube, and I'm not super happy with it. Don't get me wrong, ...

They went through a few days ago, but I do believe @starcrytas also now holds the distinction of having the first GameCube game loaded via USB on Wii submission to go through. Which should up open up a whole bunch of games to a whole bunch of people, including myself!
    I'm very intrigued ...

I love adjudicating. Its what I spend most of my time on TG doing. I got really hooked after hearing an interview with Robert Mruczek. The way he talked about being a ref made it sound almost magical.
It wasn't just watching somebody play a video game and putting a number into a database. ...

First off, to all the adjudicators out there, good job!. The submission "Queue Monster" as I call it, was at 180 pages and we knocked it down to roughly 145ish and holding. Keep up the good fight! This brings me to my next point.
Why, oh Why, is Twin Galaxies NOT setup like an ...
  5. A HUGE Thank You to the TG Community

    10-30-2018 at 07:37 PM
I noticed on lunch that my Dream Pinball 3d score went through, so I was planning a thank you post. When I got home I found 2 posts containing a reference to my submission. Figured I'd be the only one that cared. Guess I was wrong.
So a HUGE thank you to everyone who watched, voted, ...

So when I'm sick I like to take a break from everything I'm currently doing and play something random and relaxing. Or at least random. So I ended up booting up Rampage World Tour for the N64. Bashing stuff sounded fun. And it was.
I also noticed that I consistently beat the 2nd ...

I was adjudicating stuff like a...well, gamer cracked out on like 12 cups of coffee and angry at the queue for never being the last vote. So me. All of the sudden TG stopped working. Just saying....hope somebody gets the reference.

I've always wondered why in the TG videos that the time counter goes down instead of up. We all tag the time the actual run is. So I've been roughly estimating when a run is by taking the time of the entire video and subtract the run time, then subtract that from the total time to find the ...
  10. Death Saves In Pinball Video Games

So I've tried in a few games, but never EVER have I been able to do a death save (or the equivalent, I'm sure the movements on a real pinball are WAY diff) on a pinball game...until I ran across Dream Pinball 3d for the Wii. My jaw dropped and I started screaming at my wife the first time ...

I'm posting a rather mediocre 13 mil in Pinball Hall of Fame Williams because I just obtained Dream Pinball 3d for the Wii after noticing only 1 score on the board. After giving it a try...I think I love it. The physics seem SOOOOO much better than the PBHF. The only reason I can see why this ...
  12. I'm Normally a Positive Person But....SCREW NINTENDO!!!!!!!!!!!

    09-24-2018 at 09:24 PM
I love my Wii. I grew up with a Super Nintendo. I played a TON of Star Force, Mike Tyson's Punch-Out!, and Rad Racer (sadly no 3-D glasses) at my aunt's house. I thought the N64 sucked until recently when I realized how many games I actually enjoyed on it. I had a Red GameBoy Play It Loud ...

I've gone through a few submissions now, and I still can't figure out how to tell if a game is NTSC or Pal by anything other than what the person has said. I know NTSC runs at 60fps and Pal runs at something less which makes games behave different. But I really have no way to tell WHICH is ...

I said I would never watch a score run of a Mario game. But in the spirit of being open minded, I did. I mean no offense to the runner, he has more skill and plays Mario better than I probably ever will. I'm not even going to mention the specific game or gamer (Not a good way to start right?)However, ...

There's been an awful lot of bad things being said about TG members, TG staff, and the TG website as of late. I certainly have not stayed out of it. So I'd like to put all this aside for a moment and focus on some of the amazingly cool things that actually go on here at TG. First off, we ...
  16. Is Score REALLY The Best Way To Measure Skill?

    09-07-2018 at 04:01 PM
With all the recent disputes I've been kind of thinking if its all really worth it. I'm sure I'm going to catch hell for what I'm about to say, but here goes. Score doesn't always mean skill. There I said it. And I hate to agree with this guy, but even Todd Rodgers said it. ...

Leafing through the submissions page I've noticed a lot of old submissions with a lot of comments on them. Usually these comments involve some sort of little mess up, such as the R-Type DX run I watched. The run is good, what is in question is what it was submitted to. So instead of people ...

I just lost my 127 mil console Dragon's Fury run (luckily I did upload that to TG), and my 159 mil Emu Dragon's Fury run. My SDD just bit the dust. That's the third harddrive I've fried in 8 months. After never having a harddrive issue in my life. Thanks 30's. Also, I had to look my wife in the ...
  19. Can I Pull A Submission If I Get a Better Score?

    08-05-2018 at 09:45 AM
I recently posted a new score for Dragon's Fury (103 mil). I then last night laughed in that scores face (127 Mil) . Can I pull my first submission for the better score? I mean, its no biggie to me just to post, but I feel bad for anyone adjudicating the first score now since its just busted.
  20. Any Reason I Can't be a ***** Pinball Player?

    10-06-2017 at 08:20 PM
Specifically, I was wondering since in the few months I've been at TG, I've learned things are very specific, if there's any reason I couldn't play the free monthly tables on android Pinball Arcade and post scores. I don't want to bother filming attempts if I have to say, make a new track since its ...

After a while of trying to get into the gaming community as something other than a watcher, I finally found my games by complete accident. Granted, I ended up owning my friends Dragon's Fury and Crueball carts in high school, but it never occured to me that these would be the games I would run. ...
