I still wonder if there's any chance that TG could co-sponsor a future International Classic Video Game Tournament if Funspot came around to supporting the idea. The last time ACAM/Funspot held one was in 2015. Such a shame that something couldn't be done - the games are begging to be played in the world's largest arcade.
There were 2 or three "Bro Fest" tournaments put on. Lots of fun, but not nearly the same production. I was at number two I believe.
I do not believe there is ANY chance of it happening. The owners were miffed at the overall experience of the 2009 tournament and banned TG forever. :(

Galloping Ghost is pretty impressive as far as arcades with lots of machines go...
i'll go with that -- evener i believe jace is refering to funspot is no longer the largest despite still advertising themselevs that way, galloping ghost is. also galloping ghost has no bad blood with tg to my knowledge
so then i'd just change eveners requrest to be you set something up with them :)
Datagod, I must learn more about the 2009 experience, if you could provide a synopsis (via PM, if you prefer), I would be most grateful.
I wholeheartedly agree - Galloping Ghost is an impressive arcade, so if a new tournament chapter could be written at a new location, then let's get writing. :)
ghost is 30 minutes from my drinking buddy, 6 hrs from me. Beent here twice. Doc mack is really cool. I wish the bawls was cheaper. the most important thing is they have the beavis and butthead prototype, need i say more?
I hope that such a sponsorship might be explored further - it would be worthwhile to see if a tournament with the stature of the International Classic Video Game Tournament could be revived. Back a few years that was a TG tournament event (in California I think) - was that completely run by TG, or was it operated by a third party with TG sponsorship?
