This Dispute system is pretty rad. Anyone gonna dispute the Dragon's Lair top score. It's completely False. Even at my best(perfect run) I got 455,623. I have video of it.

i've been considering it, but honestly, there are some other slam dunks that need to go through. I fear to many disputes will spread peoples efforts to thin. just waiting for the right time.

Wish Tim was around, there is only one person I know who is a master at it, and knows about the score being bogus but doesn't have the care nor the cred to dispute it.

I would never bring/ask Tim into this. He has too much of a personal agenda which clouds his thinking to get the job done right. Steve Grunberger I feel is just as capable as well as Todd Lalonde to prove the score is bogus.

Steve won't touch TG, he hates Internet drama. He also doesn't have the credibility to dispute the score. But I will send this his way.

He don't need Cred. Doesn't matter if he hates TG. He would be a person who is really good at Dragons Lair, doing the best run possible and recording it. That's it. That video can be used to show all the moves and the scoring. Which could then be broke down into score per scene to prove that with any order of scenes the top score on TG cannot be accomplished.

Beat this game many times in Daphne and I'd have to say that score is not possible from what I remember

Looks like my Full Blast buddies are the only ones from the modern era who have submitted scores. Yeah I known about this for a while, Tim told me all about it. It needs to go!

as usual, tim is actually accurate in his main complaint, but he handles it completely wrong

Yep, That was my perfect run. I spent 2 hours getting that damn score. I got it though.

See the ROM set is what it's ALL about. I know myself I have scored over 500K on the earlier ROMs (A or B I think) but I only use the F2 or enhanced ROMs now days.

Revision A, B, and C EPROMs use the Pioneer PR-7820 only. Revision D EPROMs used the Pioneer LD-V1000 only. Revisions E, F, and F2 EPROMs used either player. Revisions A, B, C, and D are a five chip set. Revisions E, F, and F2 are a four chip set.

Like Space Ace, I got a 770K on it but with the 'every day ROM's' I get a few hundred thousand less.

Being the score was in 83 then I say it would be valid for the earlier ROMs that would've been used.

Would I dispute it? Only "AFTER" I've played EVERY version of the ROMs and on ALL difficulty setting and get the perfect games on each. If you can't get that score then sure, but also remember there was a setting to start over once you beat Singe (the Dragon) and like me, roll the score as much as you want.

I say keep all the scores from back in the day and make new scores based on the ROMs and settings because it's easier to get a bigger score on the B ROM on easy than F2 ROM on hard :)

Also, Chris, if you want to get a few more points from your game. I can let you know where you're making the easier (less point) moves :)

Yes sir I am. But I forget what ROM version it is that gave stupid points. But a 500K is doable as I know I've done it

I can give you ALL the ROMs for Daphne if needed and also some beta ones too
  20. OzSteve's Avatar
Beta 1 and Beta 2 are a five chip set for use with a Rev A PCB and use the Pioneer PR-7820 only.
Beta 1 came from Dragon's Lair cabinet serial #1. Beta 2 (previously named Rev X) was renamed because it was noted that it plays the same as Rev. A, B, & C, but the code is different from all other ROM revisions
