What is it?
- A separate section of the Twin Galaxies website dedicated to video game challenges that are specifically designed and provided by Guinness World Records.
What's different about it?
- Under normal circumstances, Twin Galaxies video game world records are reviewed once a year for inclusion into the Guinness World Records database, and at that time those that are chosen receive the much coveted GWR certificate... However, this new GWR Platform category section will be reviewed much more frequently and uniquely contains a special countdown timer!
This countdown timer indicates the next moment that Guinness World Records will take a snapshot of the top positions of all the leaderboard challenges listed in this special area.
At the moment when the snapshot is taken, all players in the #1 leaderboard positions will be entered into the Guinness World Records database and sent certificates.
If a player is not in the #1 position on a leaderboard at the moment of snapshot they will not be entered into the Guinness World Records database and will not be sent a certificate.
Since this is all new, we are starting slow with just a few GWR challenges, but we anticipate Guinness World Records increasing the challenges more and more over time!
