Sony Playstation 5: Cartridge based storage

https://www.dailystar.co.uk/tech/gaming/ps5-game-cartridge-leak-could-20866017?fbclid=IwAR0Vci1ge8SmOFCj37oa71eov7qu3RwS Q3WMn2IDmdqOzKyZjCFZIAeeKM8

Some interesting leaked images today. The PS5 may use these cartridge based storage devices for the massive games everyone will be playing and downloading.

What a weird world we live in. We buy games online to cut down costs of shipping and retail space, but we have to buy cartridges to store them on.

Time will tell if this works or not.

My guess is the cartridges will be locked to the individual system so you can't share your games.

Each generation in the 2000s seems to arrive to market with a media format which is woefully inadequate for the long term. 3TB doesn't seem like much for a few 4K titles. They've got to produce a console which fits the marketplace, however, so woefully inadequate seems about right. :P
